Thank you, Robbie McGuire, for introducing me to this band 55 years ago! This band and so many others! You opened my eyes to a lot of what enjoyed to this day. My old friend.

Never knew that Paul McCartney played and sang with Wishbone Ash. Fun fact: Tony Kishman is in a Paul McCartney tribute band. This line-up is one of my favorites. Almost 30 years ago I played Illuminations all the time. A top5 Wishbone Ash-album in my book.

I saw live twice in the early/mid 1970s, bloody brilliant group live. They were underrated, I feel, but they still pulled the audience's in. My friends and I used to sing their songs, as best we could on the way home.

These guy's lived close to me in England. In the 2000's they did a gig at our local pub. We did not know we'd gone there for a meal. Have always loved them and still have the vinyls from the early 70s.

I'm sad and happy at the same time if that was possible. I absolutely loved Wishbone Ash and saw them live at Birmingham Town Hall, that famous venue that was so much part of my musical education back in the early 70s. I had all their early albums and had forgotten all about them hence the mixed emotions. I miss those days so badly when we had all our lives in front of us and everything seemed possible. Such a great time to be alive and in your teens and early 20s.

Terribly under the radar! Especially with Ted Turner and Steve Upton. I love Andy Powell but they've never had the same magic since.

I first heard this album in 1982 and I had my first Horslips album Aliens because they reminded of Tull my favorite band and I really liked it but never looked for more of their music. However the Book of Invasions really grabbed me- the music was fantastic it involves the legends of the Irish based upon the Tuatha de Duan tribe that battled the invasion of the Normans from France. While the Tuatha had superior weaponry ( sword of light-laser) they chose not to use it. use it. After the battle it was customary for each side to gather their dead, but when the conquers arrived they saw no bodies of their conquest-because they slipped sideways to the sun. Very interesting lyrics to this story The whole album is fantastic and my favorite. Another great album is the preceding album The Unfortunate Cup of Tea- the artwork of the album cover, both sides is worth it- and some really great songs represented by the variety of songs/lyrics and music
