You have to much light! Their eyes are not good at all and to much light will kill them

Beautiful babies, just want to give you a heads up though: . If they are swimming away from the light source and gathering in tank corners, the levels are too high. They are so cute!

i would suspend that bucket and make a hole at the bottom ,then cover it with the finest mesh , and just open a valve to drain some of it, then top off .

I am new to all this but why does a skimmer need a stand? I wanted my water level higher so I put ceramic tiles under mine. My skimmer has the motor under it and the base its on has no holes so I am assuming it dosnt need circulation. I know I have no flow in my sump now. I never noticed much before. It could be the light I brought in to check onit and now I am noticing it more. I am going to put a small wavemaker or pump in theer
@fadifanous4 жыл бұрын
A stand is the best way to elevate the skimmer and keep the water underneath is flowing and not become stagnant. It also frees up space so you can put a powerhead underneath for more water flow
@karennation35804 жыл бұрын
@@fadifanous Does the flow somehow make the skimmer preform better? I just hooked mine up a few days ago. Seems to be doing okay and pulling out some dark skimmate but I noticed alot of people with stands and I came to the conclusion they just wanted to lift the skimmer because I didnt see any youtubes of skimer performance or anything mentiong flow. I did hook up a wavemaker though just incase. I know stagnate water isnt a good thing. I dont know why my sump is stagnate. Maybe I need to clean the return or the pump or something. Dosnt seem to be putting out like it used to!

Not sure u are still follow up with this post but after u harvest the rotifers, u’ll just simply dump all of them into ur tank(with fish larvae) directly? Or u will filtered out the rotifers first? And last question. If u filtered out the rotifers, is it possible to reuse the water ?

Can i used babies brain shrimp instead feom day one to fewd clown fry?
@alexvids92325 жыл бұрын
rofl you add enough to keep the water light green. shit is dark green to begin with and does not need anymore! you have a nice setup and equipment at least.
@alexvids92325 жыл бұрын
this is the most stupid method ever. just sieve the rotifers out into a clean bucket.
