this looks like its going to be amazing! I thought LEDs ran a lot cooler than other lights. Probably being obtuse, but I'm confused.

All the heat sinks that ar e used for LED set ups - if they run so much cooler, why the incredible heat sinks?? (see, obtuse!)

Nona'sArk The HeatSinks are used to spread the heat around so the Diode in the LED doesn't get damaged. You can run them without a heatsink but your LED wouldn't run that long since it would melt/fry

Nona'sArk "cooler" is a relative term. LEDs are much cooler than incandescent bulbs. You can hold your hand onto an LED light longer than onto an incandescent light. However, if you don't take you hand off of the LED light it will eventually burn your skin. So, LEDs need a heat sink because they do produce heat that will build up if not dispersed or spread out as the other viewer states.

Not yet, im waiting on a few things... Im still getting the tank together I need a few more things that are essential to start the tank and im waiting for the apex fusion to roll out before I set it up
