Wonderful music. Pity it was played in a settler colonialist and now genocidal state. No Turkish group will go to that accursed country now. No human should

I heard folk music on the radio when i drove from Istanbul to Ephesus that I've never been able to find again. It was more harsh sounding than this, but similar, would love some recommendations

I am not really interested in this genre but 'Altın Gün' is a popular band that rearranges anatolian rock, folk and traditional Turkish songs. You may wanna try 'Seyyah', 'Minor Empire'. Additionally, 'Brenna MacCrimmon' - all the way from Canada - has some great work on Turkish traditional music.
