Traditional Arabic Music Orchestra Of Jewish and Arab Musicians LIVE with the singer Mamoun Zyoud!
Firqat Alnoor Orchestra for classical Arabic music ( وركسترا فرقة النور للموسيقى الشرقية)
was founded in 2014, as a result of the encounter of four people who each carried a dream and passion for an oriental orchestra which will provide a respectful response to the tremendous demand for Arabic and Oriental music, a demand which was felt among various populations, both Jewish and Arab, throughout Israel.
The Orchestra brought together the leading performers of the classical Arabic music in Israel, all famous masters in their field of expertise. The orchestra's diverse human face gives the traditional music a new and refreshing flavor. Its members represent the full spectrum of Israel's geographic and religious map.
They come from the Lebanon border, Netivoth in the south, Jerusalem and Tel
Aviv, Nazareth and the Galilee. Among them are orthodox and secular Jews,
Druze, Muslim and Christian Arabs. Their music is a bridge, connecting religions,
cultures, and languages.
The band aspires to present to its listeners in Israel and around the world a
new, yet ancient, musical artistic vision, and to expose them to the best compositions and to the cultural wealth of the Arabic and oriental music.
Since it was founded the orchestra has been able to present numerous concerts and to participate in several festivals, among them The Israel Festival 2017.
Firqat Alnoor wishes to represent the State of Israel on international stages and to expose the richness and beauty of the Arabic and Middle-Eastern music beauty as is expressed by the orchestra.
