Orca doesn't treat algae. Starting off with a light proof container is your best bet at preventing this issue from jump street. Keeping your water temps below 70-75°F will help you avoid algae and brown slime mold. As well as keeping your reservoir aerated. Happy growing.

I am going to try this method to waterproof my ground floor patios. There are decks for upstairs neighbors directly above both my front and back door entrances; these decks are not waterproofed. I would like to sit on my patios, protect my patio furniture as well as prevent rain from freezing in colder weather which is a slip hazard. Guess I will have to attach PVC framed waterproof tarp to rafters on a slope away from my doorways, using pvc hangers.

you are better off to do your electrolysis in a separate container and just pipe the oxygen across to your growing container.

Hi, This is just what I've been looking for. Thanks for sharing. What is that you used to squeeze and hold the pvc pieces while you made the two cut? I need one of those in my life. 🤣 Where can I find one? Thank you and stay blessed.

How does water come out the jar if the jar is sealed and only air is pumped into the jar??
@doubleling7
@doubleling7 Жыл бұрын
The jar is not water tight, its just a medium to hold the components and act as a weight. Its cheap, and available at walmart, so it met the criteria.

Dawson Precision makes a tool to remove tight extractors, which is what I had on my Nighthawk Shadowhawk in 9mm. I was NOT going to drill on my $5000 gun. And it was tight. If you mar the hook then it’s not going to extract shells. And my Nighthawk was filed by hand to work perfectly. The Dawson tool work’s perfectly: #098-002

for $15 bucks it seems like a good tool to have, but since then I have never had that problem. If I encounter it in the future, I think I will spend the $15 bucks as it seems like a good investment. Probably would have purchased it the first time if I knew about its existence, thanks for letting me know about it.

Why did u remove material and Jeopardize the holsters integrity?? It's just boltaron thermoplastic all u had to do was heat it put the firearm in it and use compression.. If u wanted to be real precise you could have taped off every area u didn't want to alter with a couple levels of tape and just heated the specific area you wanted to reshape. It takes a Lil more heat than kydex and holstex to shape but tbh in this case that's a good thing.

I just ran into the same problem . I ended up taking a punch and profiling it to fit the bussiness end of the extractor exactly so the two parts sloted together to make one long straight rod and i was able to give it two or 3 good taps from the front and it poped out no damage . I have done alot of work on several ria's and this is the 1st time i ran i to this problem ... very annoying
@doubleling7

I am familiar with that feeling, caught me off guard. Stubborn extractors are common, with a little rap tap tap you are normally on your way, but when you come across one that feels like it is welded in there it catches you for a loop.

How many rounds through the gun did you have before removing the extractor! What do you think caused it to get stuck?
@doubleling7
@doubleling7 Жыл бұрын
I use 50 rounds for initial break-in, so somewhere around 50 (not like I count each one). I have no idea, probably initial manufacturing tolerances?

so the water gets into the gar because it is not a tight lid how does the water get in the jar
@rghant
@rghant 2 жыл бұрын
my question exactly
@doubleling7
@doubleling7 Жыл бұрын
The lid is on pretty good, but jar is not water tight, if it had been water tight it would not sink as there would be air in the jar. You can if you wish add extra holes to the jar lid to let water in faster, but not necessary as it seeps in via the access holes.

Other than possible metal toxicity from what metals you use you're removing the hydrogen from the water which turns the water more acidic the longer you run the electrolysis in the reservoir.

I ended up modifying the frame to fit “most” holsters. Recontoured the dust cover sans Nubs to subtly match Glock Profile then flattened the rounded edge under the front of the trigger guard to right about where the front grip/ribbed area hooks down and under (kept the ledge). I similarly removed material from the inside edge of the holster where it met the trigger guard on any holsters where this caused an issue (just the ones that closed under the trigger). But, for holster integrity, firearm protection, aesthetic, comfort, and laziness reasons I kept the closed holsters closed by taking off as little as possible inside with the Dremel. But, the more holes, the more dust, the more I have to clean the inside or risk something getting in there and scratching or worse. But, then again, I’ll open up a closed-end holster to stick a comp through it. I think the risk of modifying the integrity of the frame by shaving the dust cover was outweighed by my desire that everything just work well and play nice together.

I have made a few, but I usually only video the first time I do things, so I can film the mistakes, and fixes. Oddly enough monkeypod and koa after the finish is applied looks very similar. I have not made a full koa stock, but a composite of light and dark contrasting wood (dark being the koa).
