This is what it sounds like when an artist is completely free. No concern in the moment to play "correctly" or even to play "well". Just total belief that beautiful music will flow. Julian is a precious gift to music.

Best such a duo since Towner & Abercrombie. No one takes a solo: it's a constant interweave, they both take a duo. Play together more!

Unbelievable playing - best moments for me: from 6:15 to 6:45 , and the Steve Reichian minimalistic ending from 7:56 onwards.

Sounds like two guys noodling each to himself. I think I will do the same. I will record myself noodling on one day and then a few days later I will record a second noodling session. I will then mix the two random noodle tracks into one mix, each track panned hard left or right. I will call this collection of random playing "Days of Roses and Wine" as an homage to these two.

I love and admire Julian's verve and high-wire technique, but.... Bill's timbres are the sonic equivalent of biscuits coming out of the oven. Sublime, all around, and thank you for this outstanding duet.

Hank's influence at the tip top of the jazz guitar game. I'll never not aspire to this level of ability just like I'll never not have some country blues twang in my sound.

These videos are simply marvelous. The setting, the unobtrusive camerawork, the raw, rich sound. The playing is sublime, true music that goes where words cannot. Bill's grins and utter engagement, Julian's grimaces, hearing notes between notes between notes. High fives to all involved.
