This sounds like the issue I had! I got no instructions whatsoever with it from the seller and definetively wouldn't have tried to drill a hole in the rifle

Thanks, My question is how long does the regulator take to work. At the start when the tank is at 200 bar I presume it would take a shorter time for the regulator to close as opposed to when the tank is 105 bar. Does it close in seconds? Thanks again.

Thank you for this video. I would like to add that, because of the 2 pieces o-rings, the pressure at the breather hole is only ambient air pressure and is not the air pressure within the tank. Therefore, the Hoop Stress in this area of the tube is ZERO and so there's no chance for failure due to the breather hole, ever. (Not the same situation if the hole is for a pressure gauge which implies that there will be hoop stresses involved, because of the pressure.)

What sort of speeds are you getting? This is amazing technology If you can get 750 ft./s with a 300 grain bullet with a one and one twist then this is actually a viable hunting cartridge equivalent to 338 razerback is you have a 1-3 twist

i'm planing to build my own PCP and was thinkin to make a hole at the same diameter as the barrel to keep an even velocity and flow throught the air way. Is that correct or I realy need that narrow path?

I'd advise that you never use a silicon lubricant on your rifles especially if there's metal on metal contact,, it's ok for o-rings but just most minute amount,,,I made this mistake many years ago as an apprentice engineer after relieving the company stores of a new tub of silicone grease with the intention of lubing up the spring and any moving parts on my pride and joy at the time a Webley Tracker carbine "springer" with a factory camo stock,,,, let's just say that I wish I'd been paying more attention at college and not smoking as much weed in the pub next door to the collage on my dinner hours,,,,, my point is that silicone grease/ lubes are the Devil when it comes to metal,,,, it actually causes friction!! And is used in industry for Cold welding or Friction welding!!! let's just say that sound of grinding metal every time I cocked it still haunts me today,, don't get me wrong I'm not having a go as I enjoyed the video and found it very interesting it's just that I've noticed recently that a lot of other videos mention the use of silicone grease/lube and I've been meaning to say something about it but never got round to doing it,,,, it's just that I garentee there's some kids out there that are new to air gunning and it's going to be a shame if they make the same mistake as me back in the day,,,,

These would be a good idea scaled up to the 88/90g CO2 cylinders, these are expensive and would benefit from an hpa conversion.

Hello Robert, can you help me out with the size of the spring in this regulator? Simply the OD, ID and length. I'd like to have a go at making my own as my rifles are quite different to the Marauder however the 'format' is very similar. I currently use the Chinese Bell washer regulators but I don't believe they are any good. Your spring system would be much more consistent, I believe. i used teflon tape under the o-ring and it worked well.changing o rings wont solve the problem.using a a Teflon tape does it.

G'day Mr Lane (may I call you Robert?) It seems you are quite open to people experimenting on their own making, or trying to make, ones own regulator. To be honest, I'm an old retired pensioner and would attempt to do that if you can give me some guidance info, especially regarding the spring size (width and length) and wire thickness. The concept looks very nice and I can use a lathe quite well, even at my mature age. So far, I've been using those Chinese regulators available from AliExpress and it needs to be said, they are not a consistent and controlled reg. Your system is far more logical and given some thought, would provide a better solution. Hope you decide to offer me some assistance. Best regards.
