Since Josip Tito had visited to Cambodia eight years before the Khmer Rouge took the power on that country, Pol Pot should had pursued the Tito style of communism instead of Maoism, Stalinism or a North Korean style of communism in his home country. That one he couldn't killed millions of Cambodians under his dictatorship and he'd allowed free market in a Communist system and became the Josip Tito of the East and might be as prosperous as of today's Vietnam and China. He'd choose the wrong side of Communism that makes his country a terrible place to live and a Hell on Earth during his brutal regime between 1975-79. Sad and also cringe.

Without the Khmer Rouge regime, Cambodia today would certainly be economically catching up with neighboring Southeast Asian countries. such as urbanization, development of transportation, electricity, internet and possibly a Chinese-controlled economy

Maybe you should make this a private video. As a Khmer, I subscribed to the channel for Khmer related videos, especially old videos.

Saigon in the South in the past and during the Republic of Vietnam, the people were very gentle but truly civilized and prosperous. It was a proud moment for the people of the South to be prosperous but always exude peace and gentleness. Saigon is also the pearl of the Far East that has settled in the hearts of all Vietnamese people the love for their homeland, whether living or dead. whether far away or present. If only the Civilized regime had not changed, the people in society today would not scream and cry to the sky like today. Thank you this clip for the younger generation to know and understand. It is truly precious!

What is your opinion about Ho Chi Minh? Seriously, without irony or provocation, I really want to know your opinion about Ho Chi Minh since you praised Saigon so much, I don't know much about Indochina.

Our beloved Khmer citizen were very flourishing during these period . I love Cambodia so much its deepest historical our cultures are richly define beautiful noble classy administrations personals , elites people of every background show their unity then suddenly it’s like night and day I’ll believe Cambodia alone Communism never happen but to many neighboring people were also politically involved within Cambodia country that exterminated almost great Khmer people and the country. 🇰🇭🇰🇭❤️🇰🇭❤️❤️🙏🙏

Joining the military should be mandatory for all men during the Khmer republic time . If all the men joined in 1970 , Khmer republic would won the war . But these people in this video have money , didn’t care about the war and didnt worry about who would win the war. They left it to the people who needed money to join the army to fight the Khmer Rouge. It was a fatal mistake
@d.c.35342 ай бұрын
Uh…no. Khmer Republic wasn’t just fighting Khmer Rouge, North Vietnamese and Vietcong helped the Khmer Rouge. And young men were drafted. Khmer Republic army probably would’ve continued fighting had they not been misled that the war was ending, especially with Sihanouk returning to the country. Why do you think there are photos of people on the streets cheering as the KR rolled through the streets? People were rejoicing, thinking the war had ended and then they were ambushed by the KR.

I’ll know my Cambodia alone the Genocides don’t have the capacities to eliminated Millions of Great Khmers people and half of the country destroyed but the backbone are also neighboring countries as China Communism, Vietnam Communism that were politically involved within Cambodia country and brainwash Khmer system into a turmoils Administration. Even Henry Kissinger the Secretaries of States were also involved killing nearly 100,000k Khmers population. Indeed Thailand border located near Mountain Danreng were threaten the Khmers refugees people to go back and step up on the landmines track then blow up thousands of Khmer refugees were killed by the land mine sites Khmer refugees that are trying to enter Thailand . Montain Danregn called the Genocides of Phnom ( Montain ) Danreng. Henry Kissenger as German background also a USC was able to live up to 100 years old he die in 2023 , without receiving any harsh sentences that he’s commit toward Cambodians people

They looked modernized and very well-civilised. It's a shame 1/4 of these generation were lost in the genocide, and even now, they're now struggling while getting rid of past traumas.
