Love the VP angle of everything! One of the not talked about (in the West) events that started the Tiananmen Square demonstrations were the attacks of black university students in Nanjing the previous December & January, because some people did not like them dating Chinese people & nasty untrue rumors were spread which caused an uproar Another misnomer about China & the 1989 Tiananmen Square incident, you can actually find that information everywhere & learn about it in China more accurately than what's presented in the West, but it's not widely talked about because many politicians who were part of it - of the many different factions present - were allowed back in the government US diplomatic cables, eyewitness Western journalists, & video evidence including in a 1995 PBS doc The Gate of Heavenly Peace said there was no killing inside the square, except for lynch3d & torched unarmed soldiers

This is insane! Like, I see how it may be not useful at the moment, but with the rate at which AI is developing. I can already see how I can use this to reduce the cost of VFX in storytelling once it's consistent. Imagine if yoou can input WHATEVER in that chip & it has the capacity for "selective generation"!

Thanks for all this info - I still can't figure out how to tell BMC to upload my existing proxies. Is it because my proxies aren't stored next to my media, but are in a separate folder? I can't tell why, but web browser shows empty folders.

Probably - it will look for a /Proxy folder wherever the media is stored. You can also try Relink to Proxy Media command in Media Pool. Haven't tried it, I usually just let Resolve render proxies when I import

Keep in mind you don't have to sit there and watch it work - you can go to another tab, do something else, etc. It'll alert you if it needs intervention. It also did a good job in successfully finding the soonest available rental date when it had availability issues - something that manually would take a lot of clicking and be annoying.

The information given at 06:36 about Cloud Storage including a Project Library, is incorrect. I have just purchased 500GB Cloud Storage for one of my "Organizations" and it did NOT give us a Project Library. £7.80 wasted as we do not need the cloud storage but thought it'd be worth having for the small £2.40 difference vs just paying for a Project Library on its own.

How many voices does Descript have to offer? I'm turning a screenplay into a podcast and I have about 12 characters. Does it offer that many stock voices?

Not sure but if you want to make a full podcast with text to audio you'll get better control and quality using something like ElevenLabs and editing in Descript

I'm having a lot of trouble with syncing the audio and video. I don't see how to shift the audio 6 frames to the right. I understand that someone said to record the audio separately so I did that but now I don't get how to sync the two files. Yes, I'm a newbie but this software doesn't seem to be very kind to us noobs.

I want to convert audio into a video. I’m wondering if this transformation can be achieved using Descript? Additionally, when creating a new project, should I select the category as audio or video? After all, I’ll be importing audio, and later, after adding images as the background, I’d like to export it as a video. Could someone with experience kindly provide some guidance? There's no magic 'convert' button but you can import an audio track and add video on top of it, video being either photos, video (your own or their stock library), text on a background, etc. You want to set the project as video

@@NextLevelNadia Descript changed their layout a bit since I made this video - pretty much everything is now on the right side instead of the top, but most features are still the same. Try importing your file in the Files area under Project and then create a Composition from it

Why would you export video from Riverside when you can achieve the same results using it's editor vs DESCRIPT

Depends how much control you need. Riverside is great but you can't create custom layouts, you have less control over angle switching, can't add b-roll, etc

You can since they bought squadcast. I still think Riverside has better recording quality and is more reliable
