Just got my Hennessy "forest" addition. I got one with the pad sleeve and the reflective bubble pad. I have an old Big Agnes down sleeping bag that has a pad insert, I just leave that out and use it as a quilt. I decided to try setting it up "as is" with the knots setup they have it configured for and HATED IT! I plan to either get a buckle system or carbines and daisy loop straps (I have an old set from my old hammock).

i like the look of some buckle systems and slides, i also always a daisy loop as back up plan, but the fun is simply getting out and about , and i needed some camo to blend in more with the trees

Hi, do you think this would fit the naturehike cloud up 2 for a day or two hike?
@johnho2006
@johnho2006 Ай бұрын
NO. i recommend a tarp or similar, i think a cloud up 2 would just over load the pack, and change your comfort of carrying , the size alone has made me rethink every item , not suitable for nature hike full size tents and all other gear needed

@@johnho2006 I'm starting to wonder if wool might be better. It's funny that this kind of insulation needs an outer film of nylon or polyester to keep it intact. Wool doesn't so shouldn't it be more effective for the weight?

@johnho2006
@johnho2006 5 ай бұрын
never had moisture build up. well not in our climate (north west England), it has no vents or air flow , and is big and baggy, i have to admit i have never sweated in it and worked out where it becomes a sweat box, i wear it over other tops that are usually cottons or breathable, it is a good wind cheater/blocker.

Congrats, John, that’s an admirable feat! I am currently following the Simple & Sinister kettlebell workout but may have to do my own 10k kettlebell swing challenge to change things up a bit. One question for you: how are feeling pre vs post challenge? Perhaps an idea for a next video to recap your thoughts on this completed challenge. Cheers!

well certainly feels good to get to the end and completing 500 a day, my body core feels a lot better in being tighter and firm. i know it is a simple exercise and people mock the execution and effort needed , with my heart, i am in Atrial fibrillation and my last operation was a Catheter ablation, so being 60 this year and in my desire to regain a level of fitness i found the 10,000 challenge ideal , i love the kettle bell and how many exercises and muscle groups can be worked , i wanted a challenge in the privacy of my own home not a gymnasium or group setting, pleased now i can say i feel better mentally and physically simply to a single kettle bell .and You tube does help in being motivated and learning from others, i will look at the simple and sinister workout.
@BrianInFrance12

@@johnho2006 I think the feat is impressive for anyone (500 swings a day, 20 days in a row is no walk in the park) let alone for someone coming off of a recent heart procedure! That makes it all the more impressive to me and should serve as an inspiration to others as well. I have found a lot of great benefits with my kettlebell workouts so far and also enjoy the privacy aspect of being able to do them within my own home. I have a wife and little one at the house so it is great that I am able to knock out my workouts generally in under 50 minutes, pre/post warm-up & stretching included. Keeps me in shape and frees up more time to spend with my family. Thanks for sharing, John. Keep having fun with things in your continued journey of physical fitness!

Fantastic work,i'm in the exact same situation,heading towards 4,000 as we speak and l started on the 17th December,i'm more day on day off but I'll have to up my game as 17th of Jan approaches. One method l came up with and i'm sure others have used this too is to match the different bells with their own suit of cards. For example a set of 10×24kg bells can be done if you pull Diamonds,10×32kg if you pull Spades,10×16kg for any clubs you pull and 10×28kg for any hearts you choose or you can use any of 4 different weights. I've used this method for a few months now and 52x10=520 so gets one over the 500 per day quite comfortably and it's a great shock to the system,once l got 6×10×32kg in a row! You must complete what suit you pull which is what makes it so much fun! The deck should be beside you at waist level on a table and when you flip the card just chuck it into a pile behind you as l found thats the best way to have zero distractions and you'll have sweat drenched fingers by card 23! It can be done with Tarot cards too and also the Jokers can be wild so swing what you like with them. It's a great game to play with friends too as you each pull cards from your own respective decks. I think the mixing up of weights is a real fat burner. Great channel you have and i'm going to dive into your videos over the next few weeks,cheers!
