Hes talking about credit card debt.. Not mortgages..He’s telling the truth.. If the company you originally had debt with sells your debt to another company.. You don’t owe that other company they bought your debt anything.. Because when they bought your debt.. They settled the debt that you owed to the company.. So since you didn’t get the debt through them.. You don’t owe them anything.. Do you can dispute this and have it taken off your credit report..

No, it has only just begun...not paying back collections adds remarks to an already bad report; so now if you dig your way out, no one will touch you since you established you'll never be held accountable.

He’s talking about credit card debt.. Not mortgages .. If you would actually do a little research you would know that he’s right.. If a company you originally have a debt with sell your debt to someone else.. You don’t owe the company that bought your debt anything.

People like this are so….dumb. The DEBT belongs to you. The AR associated to that debt belongs to whoever’s balance sheet it’s on. Just because it transfers hands doesn’t means it no longer is yours. By that logic, no one would have to pay their mortgage, because within 30 days, it’s sold to a company

Credit and medical are different than mortgage...credit /medical sell your debt at a slashed rate and collection is hoping for u to pay all...mortgage is a transfer to another company not a sell off

@@texassoul7804what do you think the bank does to your mortgage? They also SELL your mortgage to free up capital to make more loans. Some merely transfer servicing rights. Come on man…any Econ or financial accounting class should’ve explained this to you. The reason debt collectors buy it for so cheap is because of the risk premium and likelihood of collecting. But it’s nonetheless still YOUR DEBT. now sure you can negotiate it..I’m not arguing that. I’m saying that the debt still belongs to you
