Does Gdansk secure its high ranking based on residents’ perceptions of Gdansk alone; or maybe its high ranking is based upon it being the trimiasto with Gdynia and Sopot, which in turn enhances the city and area?

I'm a bilingual speaker, speaking both Polish and English but I actually really enjoy listening to Arlena 'cause there's always something surprising in her vids, plus - she's a great person. I'd venture to say, she's one of the few authentic people out there but that's what makes her real and kind of approachable for others. Her English is amazing as well, her laugh is contagious. That's why I keep coming back to her videos or the interviews she'd had before. Poland's pride right there!

Grover Furr has debunked officiel narrative on Katyn. The Germans did it and (successfully) framed the Soviets. Even Khrushchev who was eager to besmirch Stalin's legacy never pointed finger at Stalin on this. The Polish officers who joined the Red Army after German invasion must have known about this

Red army committed many crimes on Polish land. Murdering and rapes of civilians were done on the daily basis. Red army is seen in Poland as an opressor. Have you Heard of Ribbentrop Mołotow act?

Why was the interview so rushed by the interviewer? Clare Mulley’s book is incredible. So much research was completed by her, and she could have said so much more without being rushed. I don’t mean she should recite the whole exploits. But hurried interviews aren’t my thing.

What is said that after you see the film you never forget the setting, the character and the story. It has made an indelible mark on me even now after all this time. This movie is very important. It confronts the human condition for good and for bad.

Poland got good reasons to be proud of and nothing to be ashamed of. Never aggressor, always in offence. Always potector of our nation or others. Polish people needed to learn hard way not everybody are as honorable as them. We were lways like conscious of Europe, sign of peace. Of course we have huge respect towards ancestors and their pride - their love for the country fell on us like a bargain. It's been like that for dozens of centuries. You cannot learn it or gain, You just need to have it in Your heart.

Other reasons beside history is for example the beautiful language - very poetic. Polish hospitality and enibilinty to gather together beside differences. Women's and men's strength and being humble (as You hear about polish being hardworkers). Being part of this nation and patriotism is a great honor as I see now it is not the case everywhere .

It is so funny how English talk about Poland as of some backward country. To educate you and the interviewer….it is a county in central Europe with a a very old history , 1000 yers of Christianity etc etc. The growth of economy bur not culture Poland shoudl be “grateful “ to three people ( Jalta” ) who decided a future of Poland, one of those people was your prime Minister ….i am glad that you discovered a new European county !

Good balance view of a foreigner , agree about the courts and pollution. I agree that uk is a socialist mess nowadays and I don’t see this changing unfortunately anytime soon and therefore I think Britain is finished ( great shame ) because it was made great by entrepreneurs and wealthy middle class , now if you have any ambition in UK , you will be tax 15 times more than avarage person so you have nothing left , I am pretty certain Poland per capita will be richer in the next 10 years .

I have the same observation, I left Poland 20 years ago , lived in Italy , UK , Republic of Ireland. The leap that Poland made in last 2 decades is insane ( I visit every year at least once a year ) . Shiny new motorways and roads , one of lowest unemployment in the world , very low crime ( for example no youth gangs stabbing people and overall almost every statistics better than Europe average ), very clean , people seem content , general wealth is visible everywhere ( Poland I think are now 2nd biggest buyers of Spanish properties etc ) . Now people can still complain about many things ( house prices ? ) but you cannot imagine how poor the country was in the 90s . I went to London the other day and outside of the grand centre London looks tired and dirty like Szczecin in the 90s . Just appreciate your country and there is so many things to be proud of compared to “western “ establish countries
