five reasons why the Japanese don't make good friends: 1 they are too lazy to learn foreign languages and they laugh at our accents when we speak their language 2 they never tell us what mistakes we would make, even though it is the only solution to improve us in front of them 3 they judge which people deserve to hear their "honne" (true thoughts and feelings) and they lie most of the time 4 they insult us behind the back 5 and they are too serious

This is my first time Kelvin. I’ve seen this video with English subtitles as well as French. But you seem to have Italian subtitles. I guess you speak/understand Italian. So do I. This is my first time watching it with Italian subtitles. Very interesting. But boy! It is so different when you compare French to Italian! Thankfully only subtitles.

The more you listen to this song, the more addictive it becomes. I love the words. The video absolutely evokes the bleakness of the rain soaked parts of France and Belgium. Or any town that’s ordinary. At one point OralSan says he only left because he was afraid of rusting. He also credits windscreen wipers influencing his free styling and that the rain is in every “phrase” of his music (phrase or sentence”). The words are clever, but you have to dive deep to understand all the references. He is referring to alcohol and getting drunk in that line about Crash Trst Dummies. I wish I could find you a decent translation. Meanwhile, however, if you are still learning this beautiful language, try Professor Skye. He adores Stromae and has an eloquent and deep translation of Stomae’s new single Santé. I think you’ll really enjoy it and also learn a couple of interesting things as well. I’m British, but I started learning French when I was 6 though I’ve been learning Swedish for the past few years so the only thing bringing me back to French is Stromae and some truly great French tv shows like Engrenages (Spiral on British tv). Here is a link to Professor Skye regarding Santé. Hope you enjoy it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipnHmoiLjtSHY9k. Cheers or Santé! Here is the best translation I’ve found so far. Note “slam” means in this instance to get drunk. genius.com/Genius-english-translations-orelsan-la-pluie-feat-stromae-english-translation-lyrics

It's funny how you keep trying to pronounce the French words as if they were Spanish, hahah. It's 'Stow-mah-eh' and 'fohr-mee-da-bl' (no 'eh' at the end). Can't help but point it out as a naive French speaker, never heard someone pronounce that last letter like that, I just find it funny :')

An "advance level" of french would be to listen to Georges Brassens. His use of language is very good and always clever. Try Gare au Gorille if you have time. Or "Les trompettes de la renommée". I was thinking, long time ago to teach french, with one ot these songs, and only that. Each sentence, even each words sometime, can be a full masterclass. 👌👍

I'm going to create a newer MBTI-based solution. This time, I'll make it so there's no bias in favor of sex, so I'll eliminate all use of Structure-based and Motive-based combinations (in case you're wondering, I've decided to conclude that the former-types, SJ and NT, are masculine and the latter types, SP and NF, are feminine). Plus, I'll make different requirements for both factions for in case anyone wants to play both in addition to how both factions prioritize things based on Light Side points. For the Republic, I will use the first and second letters E & I and S & N because LS choices for Pub side-quests prioritize making honorable decisions over pragmatism. The Empire, by contrast, focuses on self-improvement over sadism with its LS options; therefore, the letters will focus on the "mirror temperaments", NJ, NP, ST, and SF. Empire: *Bounty Hunter: xNxP. An intuitive concerned most with his/her own freedom and, despite doing business with the local government, disconnected from it. On Dromond Kaas, the Bounty Hunter receives a carbonite freezer and mimes shooting it instantly, hinting at fascination with new technology regardless of his/her opinions on the device. Finally, the two endings offer a choice between the higher and lower parts of his/her type: let go of a grudge and win back his/her freedom (High Ne) or give into revenge and lose his/her one chance at it (low Si)? *Imperial Agent: xSTx. He/She is a hard-worker loyal to a hardened organization. He/She also faces unexpected twists which an Intuitive would've seen coming. The upside is he/she can provide tangible solutions to avoid cruelty; however, the temptation to commit the same cruelty in the name of logic and/or power runs rampant. *Sith Warrior: xSFx. An extremely action-oriented big-feeler. He/She has the capability to direct kindness and honor in tough situations, but there is also the temptation to sadism and greed. "Sith Inquisitor: xNxJ. He/She has the ambition to achieve power and the vision to see how to do it, all with a snarky and cuckoo demeanor. At best, it allows him/her to maneuver through a corrupt system while staying virtuous. At worst, he/she possesses the temptation to manipulate others and throw his/her weight around, especially with the impulse to spam lightning at every corner. Republic: *Smuggler: ENxx. He/She goes around like Bugs Bunny and outsmarts foes with wit and audacity while skirting the law. With this skill-set, does he/she use it to help the less fortunate and defend against tyrrany, or does he/she choose to become a crime lord no better than the Empire? *Trooper: ISxx. Loyal, humble, and grounded. He/She can either follow good orders while dodging bad ones or let bad experiences influence him/her to sadism while giving into pressuring immoral commands. *Jedi Consular: INxx. Unorthodox, stoic, and thinking. Behind the stoic, awkward exterior lies a compassionate person, but he/she is also sensitive to bodily harm, particularly inward, and has a risk of proud intellectualism. Does he/she heal people regardless of the short-term pain afterwards while humbly sharing wisdom or does he/she choose selfishness while baking it up with pseudo-logic? *Jedi Knight: ESxx. An outspoken action hero. He/She is born with the gift of leadership and determination. If prudent, he/she will use this gift to lead the Corellian army to victory through virtue; if not, he/she will squander the gift for trivial greed and vengeance.

I understand your logic with it being the French language, but Belgians don't like being called French. They're a completely different country. It's like putting a Britsh flag for a video about the US. It's the same language but that's all.

For everyone that didn't know: This song is about Stromae's father, which left the family and went back to Ruanda and then sadly was killed in the 1994 rwandan genocide. He is asking where his Papa is, because it took him 3 years to realize (till he was 12) to notice that his Papa is dead.
