No thanks, cleaning after my regular German Shedder is enough as it is, but she's so worth it.. Maybe I'll save it up and fashion together a fur muppet some day 😊
@dogvsdogbreedcomparision46229 күн бұрын
😆 In my opinion, for the purpose of making a fur muppet, King Shepherd would be a better choice. LOL

Can a mixed breed of Dhole and African Wild Dog be produced?
@dogvsdogbreedcomparision4622 ай бұрын
Hello @dexterw1569 There is no documented evidence of this, but they are both the wolf's closest relatives and have the same number of chromosomes (38+1=39 pairs), so it can be possible.

The Dhole is a dog?
@dogvsdogbreedcomparision4622 ай бұрын
Hi mahakalaeliluminado7675 Dholes are essentially a separate species just as 'fox' is separate from 'dog/wolf/coyote'. This is why a mix between a Dhole and a Dog can produce puppies, but they are not fertile. Also some people claim that Dhole is a mixture of "Fox*Dog", which is a misconception. The fox and dog cannot interbreed and produce fertile pups. Thanks!

Yes, Dear YT Tomar I am uploading videos again after a long time. During this period, I was more focused on breeding some rare Indian dog breeds, such as "Soneri and Maharashtrian Dhangri" dogs. You can hope, this time there will be better and more interesting information than before.

I’ve had both breeds! My GSD was actually the “more ferocious” of the two but my King Shepherd was HUGE!!!! Both were AMAZING dogs! I have another GSD and he’s a total momma’s boy but he’s very protective of me!

Thanks for this video! Having had GSDs since I was 4 1/2 years old, 18 dogs in total, I am very familiar with males, females, puppies, their pack behaviour, training & strengths. I love them, they are the greatest dogs I decided to try a BC this time when my last rescue GSD girl Amber died. She was an awesome ladydog. Buddy is a handful! He occasionally tries to chew on wood furniture and knows no boundries off leash. He buries his chew treats. Yuck! He is stubborn, but very very driven affectionate & intelligent. He is a two year old Orange County CA pound rescue & a blank slate so far as training. He is everything they describe in the video & I wish I would have gotten one in my 20s or 30s like I did with my incredible rescue Malinois Bud, he took a lot of effort too. The differences are noted in the video: playful got five stars & is right on, friendly with peeps four stars, also right on, friendly with other dogs, but not pushy or obsessive. I've ordered a Wisdom Panel DNA test to make sure he is a BC. They listed him as a Australian Shepherd at the pound, but I think they were wrong. Buddy is a double merle, the result of two merles mating, & has almost all white on his right side except around his tail & brown & a little gold colour on his left side with that brown donut going around his tail. Great guard dog, he alerts & barks a fair amount, but he is afraid of loud noises. He became a stray July 4th this year for that reason. I got him not quite two weeks after. He was very thin, visible ribs, & had just been neutered, He is 45 pounds /20 kg now and looks very good. He is an amazing eater, he will eat almost anything. He is also a great herder, he manages his five toy lambs obsessively! He needs a lot of attention, especially when he stands or sits in front of me & locks his bright eyes on me. What incredible eye contact!. There are many videos of Buddy on his YT channel that he inherited from Amber. ❤🐕

A large N American Grey Wolf has no equal among domestic canines. Bite force, intelligence, raw power, social cohesion and planning. I see people post videos of dogs going after wolves, but the body language of the Wolf shows they don't actually see the dog as a threat, just an annoying obstacle. I've been around Wolves in domestic situations many years. No dog that came into that arena had a chance to fend them off, if they chose to attack. Fortunately, they treat dogs more like puppies, and will pin them to the ground, without hurting them. Just sending a message. One hybrid I raised did this all the time when a dog challenged him. He'd grab and handle the dog like a rag doll, throw him to the ground, hold his neck (without biting down hard) and just keep the dog there till it stopped trying to fight back. In none of these situations did the dog get any kind of advantage at any point. The wolf was in full control, and not even being that serious. One real fight occurred while raising him, due to a negligent neighbor with an aggressive Rottweiler. The wolf hybrid (about 90%) had the dog running (limping) for his life after a 10 second exchange. He stood NO chance... just had to run. Their weights were similar, both fairly young. The difference was the raw power, speed, and intelligence/skill the wolf had over the dog.

@dogvsdogbreedcomparision4622 жыл бұрын
Dear Saji, All the dogs are good, they all are developed for specific purpose. These both dogs have similar physical traits. But Rampur hounds are different than other Indian hounds, they are comparatively powerful and reserved dogs that make an excellent watch dog.

Why do you compare dogs? They're all good for what you want them for
@dogvsdogbreedcomparision4622 жыл бұрын
All the dogs are good, but they all are developed to perform some specific tasks. Eg: If someone is looking for a guard dog then an excellent lap dog will not the right choice. By comparing the two breeds, you can understand which of these two breeds will be best for you.

I have a 7 year old King Shepherd. Although I grew up (on the East Coast) with many GSDs I had never heard of the breed before adopting him Ares was a rescue that had bounced around 6 rescues in 5 states in only 5 weeks prior to my finding him. It was mostly because of his size, strength & ability to jump over 6' fences. When we finished meeting him & were about to fill out the adoption paperwork they wanted to put him back in his kennel because he had already jumped over the 6' fence of the play are we were in. He was about 1yo & weighed 70lbs at the time. Too big to do that now. He easily learns commands and is the smartest yet also the most stubborn dog I've ever owned (including my Akita & previous GSDs). He quickly learned which farm animals are friends & which he should chase away. Except for rabbits, which he loves to chase but can't catch. I don't raise the so he has only ever seen the wild ones running from him. He's never met & smelled one. He is not a fan of strangers. Especially if just him & my wife With me he doesn't care as much so long as they don't intrude on his personal space. He also dislikes children (another suspected reason for his bouncing around rescue). I have a video on him on my channel.
@salmeatballs31822 жыл бұрын
Some differences between Ares (my King) & the average GSD are... Even though the head is larger, the ears shorter & more proportional. Shorter & thicker snout Instead of long oval shaped feet Ares has round feet with long toes. He is very adept at unlocking & opening the siding doors with them. As previously mentioned elsewhere, no sloping to his back. There are more that I point out when people meet him but they are slipping my mind ATM

Having owned both (not at the same time), each being rescued from the pound, I found the my shepherd was much easier to train and maintain. The malamute was a brilliant escape artist and easily jumped/climbed over our 6' fence at night, to give her credit, she was always waiting at the gate in the morning (just fyi, keeping her on a chain just led to massive holes dug in the backyard).
