Well guys. Big problem. I bought mpc 1000 jjos 2 xl. But in trim mode pads dont navigate thru chops. Pad 10 play selected sample chop but have to hold it. 6 play chop normaly. 11 play end of the chop and pad 7 play chop in reverse. Is my mpc broken????

Been going back to the 2500 after feeling burnt out with the live and how daw like it feels. Your videos are great! The built in filters really do come in handy. You can get a pretty hard hitting drum sound just by layering and using those alone.

do you think you can stop drop a link to the screen that you use? i have the green one but i kinda want to upgrade it

Hey I'm wondering, if I rip the bit this way and not through the Akai MPC converters - in audio, don't they lose some quality? What about e.g. effective compression eq machines etc.?

Is there a video showing what the pitch variation then sounds like on the down-sampled files? I'm curious to hear that but I don't have the JJOS

I love this MPC-had this as an upgrade to my XL in the noughties. Some say the 2000 sounds better but that’s nonsense-they sound virtually identical. Get a 3000 if you want ‘special grit’ or whatever. The great thing is the OS is quite sophisticated so can be used for fuller productions (even more so with the JJ series) but it’s still old school Even though USB 1, being able to hook it up to my 2024 laptop to put samples on it is very convenient. The real reason I keep it and use it for anything hip-hoppy and more is that I’ve used it nearly 20 years and know exactly how it works. I love making music but find ‘learning gear’ quite boring, a distraction from music.

I’m not sure if your going to read this but I’m hoping you make videos on how make the beats in the quality of the sound you have. It’s very clear but still from the mpc. How can I make it sound like this?

In the free 3.13 version of JJOS I can press the "shift" button and then F1 to get to a "test" page, where I can test all the different buttons, faders, knobs and LED's on the unit. This helped me find an issue with an MPC2500 that I wanted to buy (the very left q-link fader, button and knobs didn't work, which included the "erase" button). Is there something similar in the current version of JJOSXL? I did see areally old video about this on YT with shift + F2, but when I loaded 3.83 on my 2500 (without a license, so just for testing) I couldn't find that.

So on my mpc 2500 for some reason it want let me edit sample with my jog wheel. It will only allow me to edit with my faders. What do you think could be the issue? Ps I don’t have jjos

another cool feature about usb is the software BLUEBOX, allowing user to create keyboard programs like with an s6k or other samplers... My mpc 2k5 has been my main midi center since iot was released, and when i could afford an x... I went for regen... I luuuv the jog wheel personally. my grey one's finger hole turned white though...

it would be so nice if it was possible to do the exact contrary in one move : convert several midi tracks from the daw to a sequence ready for the mpc ! that'd be a gamechanger. But maybe I missed something ?

I'm having an extremely odd issue where even though I have ALL MY MPC X PROJECTS in the exact same folder stored on the same SDD, tons of songs won't load properly. For example. There are some that I load up and everything works perfectly fine. All the data is there, the songs plays, the volumes are where I left them, the automation is there etc. But then there's A TON of projects I've made over the last few years of owning my X that do nothing. The sounds/samples are still in the project, but the sequence says "UNUSED" and the track where a sample/plugin should be playing audio also says "UNUSED." These are projects I've produced on my MPC X in Standalone mode! None of these projects were made with the MPC Beats software. I can open every single one of these projects without any problems in STANDALONE mode with my MPC. I'm able to open maybe 30% of them in MPC BEATS and they work perfectly as they should. But there's a good 60% of the projects I have that are acting like they are brand new beats that I only dropped in samples for, but never created patterns/sequences and there are NO NOTES on any of the tracks that have this issue! This is driving me crazy! HELP? 😭
