Do you prefer JJOS XL or OS3? They both got advantages

Definitely XL. I used OS3 for a bit and there's some cool features but XL is just so easy to use for everything.

How come I don't see play and chop? I'm running os3 ver: 1.52

I was using version 2.43 since it's the latest for OS3 and 1.52 is not updated any longer.

Thank you for the video. I really appreciate the content. I am considering the 2500. I was thinking about the 4000, but the good people at MPC Stuff informed me that parts are becoming harder to come by; however, there seems to be ample parts for the 2000 XL and the 2500. I have seen many 2500's for sale on Ebay and Reverb. The ones in excellent or mint condition are asking 1,000-1,300. Do you think this is a good deal or am I overpaying by a lot. I just don't want a banged up machine that is going to cost a lot to refurbish because I am not handy or techy at all and have to rely on MPC Stuff for all parts and labor costs. Thank you for your advice. Blessings to you.

It depends. If you REALLY want a 2500 then go for it. You can always fix stuff that needs fixing, as I've mentioned in other videos. You have to look at it as a fun part of the process. You have to expect to maybe fix stuff. But to me it's fun (although a bit expensive). But if you're not 100% into older machines, you could use the $1000-1300 to get something like MPC One which looks solid too. I just really prefer the 2500/JJOS combo because it fits MY needs. I don't NEED new stuff. But that could be different for you.

@@illmuzik Thank you for your reply. I think the look of that 2500 looks classic. I just prefer to perhaps pay a little more for a unit that's in good shape and doesn't require so much repair. Quick question: Does the 2500 have both a high and low pass filter and reverb for an effect? Thank you again for your input. Blessings!

Thanks! From what I understand you get OS3 if you buy XL. I think the way he has it is you buy XL and the others can be downloaded as well.

Do you prefer it to JJOS-XL2?

At this point I still prefer XL because it feels like everything is in the right place, a bit simpler. But OS3 has some really good features too. I'm playing with it for a while but I know I'll go back to XL. I just wish XL had the realtime chop OS3 has.
