Hey Pepe, I just watched a few videos from 6 years ago, and they're great! You were talking about the regulations in NSW and how you could only sell in those little 80/80mm pots. Is this still the case if you don't want to get approval from your local council?
@PepeFassos2 ай бұрын
@nighty7364 Hey friend 👋. Yes your right. I did say that and only continued that way until I could afford to build a food safe packing area. Every state has different requirements. The best way is to approach council and ask your food safety officer what you will need to have. It's really quite easy and they understand start ups too. Let me know if your struggling with them and I'll try point you in the right direction 🙏🍃🌱

@PepeFassos awesome mate, thank you so much 🙏 I've just started getting into microgreens the last 5 or 6 weeks and have really been enjoying it and learning heaps from your videos. No access to the grid in my nursery sadly, so I use a generator for irrigation, but hoping to run some cheap solar fans for ventilation without needing to use the generator (fuel isn't cheap sadly) over the microgreens. I'm starting to get a little mould happening from the cooler days and nights here in Mudgee. Bless you mate 👍

In aus .. that works out about $45 AuD for 120 grams.. This is a fair price based on our market. Grow it well my friend.. don't cut to early as it's a light leaf. It can be cut twice too if you do it right. Stick to the same price if you can.. never discount .. just make the experience more valuable to the customer. Make them loyal to you by offering fresher .. better presented with a smile 😃

Hi Pepe, I have a chef who asked me to do this as well. He asked if I could grow on a coco mat and deliver love treats on the mat instead of harvesting, he’ll harvest as needed, my question, how often were you watering? Do you bottom water it to spray? Also, do you use any ocean solution? Thanks
@PepeFassos10 ай бұрын
Hey there... Good on you for getting chefs interested. Yes.. I mist them twice daily until germination. Then swap over to bottom watering for the grow out. Not sure where you are but I use a certified organic fish solution for fert. It's called Swift Grow. It doesn't smell which is perfect. Sorrel loves regular feeding so keep it up until the plant is ready to go.. Good luck
