Gentrification = Robbery. Claudia Shenbaum is aware and with Trump's deportation policies, I am sure Claudia will make it more difficult for gentrification to continue to happen in Mexico. These homes are way more expensive than the USA. Unbelievable!

Thanks for watching! It's not so much about size of home as location, if its within a gated community, and views. $1200 will get you a gated community home. They are around 1400-1600 sq. ft. Rentals, like homes for sale, vary widely though

The lake Chapala was really low back in March, wastewater PVC pipes running directly into Lake Chapala were exposed. The water is very polluted and gives off a stench like a sewer. The storm rains and sewer flows into the lake.

I've seen this home and know how gorgeous it really is.. beautiful quality materials, great centrally located area that is generally very quiet, and easily walkable to great markets, restaurants, etc. The best of both, convenience and quiet.

Thanks for your question. I believe you are seeing the downstairs bedroom. I may have called the grassy space a backyard, but I should have said it is a courtyard. The living room is on one side, and downstairs bedroom is on the back side.

Yes, this is still Ajijic and very safe. There are some areas of Chapala and Jocotepec that are less safe but this location is still very safe.

Hello. Thanks for watching! Yes, generally speaking yards are small. There is only so much land squeezed between the mountains and the lake. It is why we see so many dogs on roofs in the villages. As we move out from the villages however, we get larger lot sizes typically 700-800 sq. mtrs. People who have 2 or 3 larger dogs generally purchase in these areas outside of the villages. In the area of this video, Riberas del Pilar, lots are typically 350 sq mtrs. This particular one, as you noted, is a double lot.

No, the bars on the windows cannot be opened, only the terrace doors bars. Fire is a non issue here. All buildings are brick and mortar and there is no chance of fire in these buildings.

Much talked about topic both here and on social media, most of which is hype, fear and ignorance. Bottom line is no one really knows the state of the aquifers. Have we had Wells run dry in the past? Yes, and sometimes new, or deeper wells need to be made. Is the area running out of water? No. Let's keep this in context too, that last years rainfall was the worst in 10 years and nothing untowards happened. This year, we already surpassed our yearly average and we still have 4-6 weeks rainy season. Mostly what you hear on social media is fear because the area is growing and there are more demands placed on the water supply. And some if it is deliberately put out there to keep other expats from coming because there are those who want to keep this place to themselves 😮.

Those ceiling fans are good. Strong enough to keep one cool in April . May & June. I lived in an apartment that had quality fans like that
