The guild i sail with are mostly obsessed with the skelly curse. Met them on my third day playing the game when 3 of their skelly curse players boarded my ship with kegs. A year later now I'm also a skelly and a highly valued member of said raider guild

I like to fly flags depending on what I'm doing. Emissary ledger flags if I'm grinding that emissary, alliance flag if I'm going to be away from my ship for a long time (siren shrine) and want to say "I know you can sink me since I'm gone, but you can ally instead and get paid" Reapers mark is for when there's a big fight going on and I want to signal to the rest of the server that I'm joining in. That'll sound weird but it's worked more than once because people tend to want to ally up against the bigger ship, and we've had the entire server in the same fight before. We got 2 sloops to ally with our galley against another galley, then when the sloops sank we harpooned their crews on board to keep up the fight.

A 3 year old video, but I feel like saying that as an owner of the ancestral flag (and entire ancestral set) I do not stream. I play normally, PVP (which I'm not necessarily good at) and PVE, usually doing tall tales or voyages to spend time with friends, and never in open crews. I just like Ori, that's all

I know this is a 3 year old video, but As an owner and user of the Black Pearl- I mean "ship of freedom" set, I can deny those allegations (though I uhh- might be an outlier) I have it because it looks neat on a galleon and pays omage to the very movie that got me into SoT. Also I don't use the Jack Sparrow set when using it, instead opting for whatever other "thematically" appropriate clothing I can get my grubby hands on. And yes, I did purchase a galleon and call it the Pearl, however it's made to be used with the Ori set (which I own because I like Ori)

They gotta be 2 teams (red and blu) with 9 people on each team (heavy, sniper, spy, soldier, scout, pyro, demoman, medic, and engineer). If I had to guess, I’d say that the game’s timed animations for the waves and sky bugged out and froze up. Because they have to sync across clients for accurate naval combat, the server eventually kicked the game to update the state of the waves and the time of day, but doing that instantly would probably strain the game beyond its limits, so instead it just speeds up until it’s back to normal. Cue “Made in Heaven”

While i do like basic cosmetics, such as hats or different outfits for the mercs, having all these effects, and lights, and wigs, and ridiculous masks just ruin the game artstyle. The difference is that they're just ugly and distracting, while the first ones have some personality and match well with the class that uses them. (For example, Texas-themed cosmetics for the engineer)
