Yea the “where’s he at” hypes him up a little and seems to help. I know it’s not traditional, but I’m no dog trainer and his success rate on blinds and cripples is decent. We are a little more south than you guys. Y’all had an alright season?

@@Unchartered_Outdoors I'm no dog trainer, but it works for us. Pretty poor overall by us last season, zero feed due to high salinity. Can't catch a break even in a non-storm year.

😂 dude was too excited. He made up for it at the end of the hunt. Max and Rance shot a BWT and echo found it fully alive in the marsh, chased and bedded it, and retrieved it.

Ron Chapman. I believe it’s the cottonmouth 14’ model. They pop up on Facebook marketplace for relatively cheap pretty often. Now that the season is over it’s a good time to buy.

The tide was crazy high.

Gators, hawks, and eagles will all steal our downed birds. The gators have been becoming more and more of a problem though. It feels like their numbers have been exploding and with the warmer weather we’ve been having they’ve been very active.

We actually did a pit blind field hunt in Mer Rouge for specs the week before duck season opened, but we only shot a couple so I didn’t upload it. Timber is next on my list.

That means a lot. He’s my first lab and I trained him myself after watching some KZbin videos. He’s no competition retriever, but he’s a hard working dog and loves being in the marsh. Bro limited before sunrise and you’re talkin about his success rate?

The wind was super light. Most of the day it was dead calm. I wanted to setup close to where the grays were landing in hopes we could pull some. Unfortunately we didn’t have a blind on that land facing a better direction so we hunted were we did. The boat normally isn’t right by us. I planned to move it a little later in the day, but the birds didn’t mind it. They were working fine and not flaring and I already had my limit by the time the sun was up so the boat stayed. Rance had more opportunities on some teal, but either we got crept up on or he whiffed 😂.
