Hi Jordan, Thanks for taking the time to comment, we have been away for a while while I was pregnant and will start vlogging shortly. Cost of living here is quite high but the jobs pay pretty well, so it helps. Food costs are about double down south prices, mostly due to shipping costs, although we found grocery prices in toronto high when we lived there. The government does subsidize, but usually on meat and veggies. It is mostly processed food that cost a lot. In regards to travel - We usually try and get out once or twice a year - we rely on aeroplan for that, although government jobs have discounted prices so that also assists if you can't get out on aeroplan. we love living in the north, we don't see many disadvantages except for the internet, it is a lot slower and cost a lot more. Hopefully that will change in the future.

Hi JJ TO you don't need to speak either language, English is primarily spoken in business and within the community. Inuktitut and french are also spoken, but it isn't necessary to live in the north. Honestly, Iqaluit is an arctic desert so while we have snow for most of the year, we don't get crazy amounts of snow like you would down south. however, if it gets bad we have had a company come to clear it, which has only happened 2 times this winter, so it isn't too bad. :)

Hi Emily, we didn't quit we just stopped for a while, it was rather difficult to vlog and edit once I went back to work, with stephen in school it was all on my shoulders and i couldn't do it all. but we will be starting back this month :)

+Sasha4President lol too funny! With that cake I envisioned it totally different, but working with icing usually never goes as planned... it wasn't too hard but it did take some time. There were some pretty awesome clay designs... I love seeing kids make stuff.. it usually is one of a kind!
