Nice drills, I need to practice exactly these kinds of things. The stun angle is 90º off the line the object ball goes, right? Not 90º off the line of aim (cue ball).

Good video mate. Do me a favour, what's the correct location for the rack. Pom living in Finland and it's all American 9 ball here. Got myself a 7 foot (6 x 3 playing area) and it's 25 years since I played Superleague pool in UK. My mates here say the top ball should be in line with the middle spots on the rails but that's way too low. Cheers in advance 👍
@MichaelScerri147Күн бұрын
Hey mate, thanks for watching. It’s the eight ball that’s in line with the Pockets. So yes, Rack needs to be removed up a little bit

This guide is excellent. I've given the same treatment to my Supreme Winner. Thanks for sharing, it gave me the confidence to do it. I used the same Boat Flooring, it's perfect and I think the plank design of the foam helps to take energy out of the balls. The product is meant to stick in a harsh environment on a boat so I'm confident it's stuck down for good! Thanks again mate

Ok. I knew what the nap was, but I never gave a thought of how much it really affects the ball. The wave analogy was great. Thank you! I just need to remember this when playing.

Great advice. Regarding showing what effect the nap has, if you roll a 10c or 20c piece down the table with the nap, it will roll in on itself, like a snail shell. If you roll it against the nap, it will snake it's way up, changing directions just like your cue ball did, but maybe a bit easier to see.

I have a few questions about the rules : 1. If my opponents plays a foul, I have 2 visits. On my free shot, do I have to hit a cushion with any ball after the contact with the cue ball ? 2. If I don't touch any ball with the cue ball during my free shot, is it a foul ? 3. If I put the cue ball into a pocket during my free shot, is it a foul ? 4. When the table is open, I decide to hit a yellow with the cue ball and this yellow ball hits a red ball which goes into a pocket. Do I got the red balls or the table is still open ?
@MichaelScerri1475 күн бұрын
Hi mate 1- yes you still have to hit a rail on your free shot. 2- good question I have never thought of that haha but I would assume yes it would be. 3- yes it’s a foul 4- yes if you hit yellow onto red and pot red then you are reds. I’m pretty sure that’s right 🙂
@kitkats13136 күн бұрын
Dunno if this question makes sense but when you are adjusting aim to account for side throw, do you think about contacting the object ball at a different point (what actually happens) or do you kinda skip that and just think about making the object ball go in a different direction? Like… I was practicing the other day and started making balls with side by aiming to miss the pocket by x amount. And that felt really weird and kind of uncontrolled.
@MichaelScerri1476 күн бұрын
Hi there thanks for watching, I guess you’re trying to change where you are hitting on the object ball. The more side you put on the white ball the more it will throw left or right there for you may need to aim thinner or thicker on the ball you are going for.

I have a question if you don’t mind People keep giving me trouble for the way i shoot I curl my index finger around the cue with my left hand while using my thumb and middle finger to keep it steady Is this bad technique? My accuracy is awful when i try to just place it between my thumb and index finger like everyone else does Logically my way seems more optimal to me as i can hold it in place for more control and its not like i need to hit it with full force
@MichaelScerri14710 күн бұрын
Hey mate, thanks for watching. Obviously everyone’s technique could be better but if it works for you it doesn’t matter what other people say you do what’s best for you and winning the frame. 💪

Quick question, why play the final black with bottom left? Wouldn't it be an easier shot to just play it somewhere central on the ball?
@MichaelScerri14711 күн бұрын
Yes, it’s basically personal preference. I like to play with a little bit of side. I always have done that and it’s more comfortable for me.

1st scenario if the red doesnt drop dont they get ball in hand in international rules and or 2 shots in world rules?
@MichaelScerri14714 күн бұрын
If the red doesn’t drop it’s just change over in international rules. In black ball rules you get ball in hand behind the line if you choose. And yes world rules you would get two shots 👍

Good insight from the headcam, always enjoy the mapping of the break-and-run videos. Keep up the good work! For next time, if you can manage to align the camera with your cue when you're down on the shot, that would make things even better (as the perspective is a bit skewed currently).
