I just fixed my problem that the CMD window instantly gone when you click the .bat file You MUST use JDK, not JRE. This is referring to the Java installation. Download JDK, choose your platform (MacOS, Windows, etc.) For Windows, choose the .msi file (msi stands for microsoft installer) Uninstall Java first if you have the JRE, then install the new one, and try to rerun the .bat file

Aaamazing. I'll come back to this, when I have to think about this. More specifically, I'd like to convert an old PC into a server, as to allocate all of its resources to it and have it running 24/7. Is that something that this does, or is it comparable to an application that lets you host a server from your PC? The former I think, would be a little more useful, because just hosting a server is the equivalent to opening a world to LAN and sharing the connection, which to say, doesn't allow other people to play on the world if the host isn't online at the time.

Thank you very much for your help. But I have a question. We are getting an error on our server. It is like access violation illegal write. This error crashes our server at uncertain times and some of the players are kicked out of the game with this error while playing on our server, but they do not experience this on other servers. Do you have any ideas?

Hi, that's not an error I've personally come across, and from what I can tell looking up similar errors, it unfortunately could be many things that is causing this. At it's core the issue is that the server client (or game client if it's only happening to certain people) is unable to read/write files correctly, and this could be a permissions issue (try running the server/game as administrator) or a memory issue, which could indicate a hardware or firmware issue on the machine that the server is running on. if you're still getting this issue, the best thing I could suggest is grabbing any crash reports or other info you have and raising a ticket with Bohemia support on their website, and they hopefully can point you in the right direction

This is a goated guide Shout out to this channel , I've used this guide to build multiple local hosted servers. I'd like to add some input for future server owners struggling with port forwarding , my isp has provided me with a modem and the only way to forward ports from my modem to my router is logging in through the app of your respected isp than finding the port forward settings and forwarding those ports to your router. secondly an alternative to all of this is AMP its a service that builds the server for you and also provides a admin panel , BUT this comes at a cost a minimum of $10 all the way up to $40 this is a one time payment. if you're building the server using this method there is no player limit. simply changer the value of player count in the config folder.

This is a professionally made tutorial. But installation for me is taking ages. I have chose same design as on this video since I didn't like the one I chose previously. But it should not take this long to install. When I first joined Fasthost, their website builder was very easy. I tried various packages since but didn't know where to start plus it was all in Latin, not English. I had wasted my money since I was not able to get started. I was also phoned up by a Fasthost representative that sold me yet another package said it was much better and easier to build your website. But again I was not able to get started. Now I have chose to use the domain names I bought through Fasthost and use their Wordpress instead. I rather like the above video. At least this time I have managed to make a start. But something must have gone wrong it is taking far too long to install. This was my first website I made with Fasthost it was simple those days using sitebuilders; www.shimro.co.uk
