Put on your kettles! Mr. Tea coming back strong after a rest and a recharge!! Love me some Nanostray! That and its sequel are prob my fave spaceship shooters for DS. Mario and Sonic getting too old to qualify for the Olympics lolol. Looking forward to the Fire Emblem Olympic Games haha. Electroplankton I’ve played, probably in about 30 minutes. It’s a cool tech demo but nothing more. I think there is a song creation mode which would be cool but the hardware is so antiquated it’s a bit obscure. I think it was a launch or around launch title for the console. Nevertheless a fun one to quickly knock off the games list. Mario Odyssey ahh the memories. Earth Night looks bizarre but the concept js cool, plus bonus points for dragons. Great update! See you in the next one 😎 🍵

Super Princess Peach is outstanding. A word of caution: you have to rescue ALL the hidden Toads in each level if you want to fight the final boss. While you can finish stages and come back later to round them all up, it’s a bit of a chore, so it’s best to do it when you’re play through the first time.

Hey Tea. Good luck with the next batch of games. I’m with you on DKC Returns, but I’m playing it on the 3DS. Tropical Freeze was underwhelming for me, so it’s not like this is particularly worse. At least there are still hidden areas to discover.

Indeed, the DS is an RPG powerhouse. Turn based games are really the only games I like for the DS form factor. I’ve only got a few games but I have Front Mission, Pokémon Conquest, and Chrono Trigger. In case you didn’t know, the Japanese version of Chrono Trigger is one of only about four Japanese games that actually have English on the cart (that’s the version I bought for $40 and played through for my first time ever). So if you want a physical copy and want to save some money, opt for the Japanese version.

I would say that the GBA rpg library is almost on par with the DS. But it was held back by simply not being on the market as the primary console for nearly as long. The fire emblem games, pokemon games, golden sun, mario & luigi, summon night, battle network, SMT games, tactics ogre, final fantasy tactics, Japanese exclusives like mother 3 and MANY more, the MANY final fantasy & other ports provided with a very high peak of an rpg library. It's just not quite as deep, but there are still many great ones that I didn't mention.
@GamesWithTea
@GamesWithTea 13 күн бұрын
@@BigmanDogs oh definitely, it’s interesting that you mention that because imo opinion, one of the biggest reasons for the Vita’s failure was Sony’s inability to dedicate first party studios towards exclusive games. You can make the CASE for the nintendo DS having the greatest library of any console. It's no doubt in my top 5 and probably top 3. Especially if we look at it contextually for its time. By that I mean that high-end smartphones didn't exist yet. 3DS had an arguably better or at least equal library, especially given many of the DS ports to 3DS, but the graphics and touch controls felt outdated from day 1 due to smartphones.
@GamesWithTea
@GamesWithTea 14 күн бұрын
@@BigmanDogs the touch controls for the 3DS did start to look a bit outdated as wave after wave of mobile phones started perfecting touch screen technology. While touch controls were certainly a feature, the 3DS marketing gimmick was the 3D visuals, something that Nintendo, and other forms of entertainment (like movies) just got away from. When it comes to RPGs, the 3DS and DS has an amazing selection of them which makes the handhelds priceless pieces of gaming hardware

I bought the console at launch, and I wasnt really officially collecting for it until around 18 months ago. I started looking at completing mini collections, like getting all the Xenoblade games and getting quality games from genres I havent played much or at all. The number got set around a year ago due to storage, plus I felt like I have a great sample that represents everything released. Im in a very satisfied place now where I can take it easy, forget about the same, the chase, the fomo. I do not have any intentions on getting the Switch 2 because I am satisfied with my Switch. I know the NS2 will be superior, but I didnt buy the NS for technical prowess. I just loved the idea of being able to properley play console games portably. I will be watching and keeping up to date with the NS2 because I think it is fascinating. NW2 apparently is more powerful than the SteamDeck. I want to have as many good switch games as I could have, for that I’d also have to get rid of more than half my switch collection cause most of those games probably suck 😂😂😂

@@Thefunnynerd85 one way traffic for me, whether a game sucks or not 😂😂😂 but there are plenty of great Switch games, if the Switch 2 can improve the game performance, that would be awesome 😊.

I own 99 Switch games - many of the heavy-hitters. I think there’s another fifty I’d be interested in before I’m satisfied. Even then I’m sure there would be other titles I’ve overlooked - it really is an excellent system.

@@shinra2755 oh man so close to 100!! 150 is a great number, I believe that there are at least 150 top tier Nintendo Switch games, perhaps even more. Nintendo alone makes some amazing games and their exclusive count has to be around 50 games if not more.

@ I’ll never play more than another 50 or so but you are right - it has many more excellent games beyond that. You could probably just play Switch forever and not need another console! It really is that good 😎

@ I totally agree with that, but I’ll still be getting the Switch 2 😂, at least it’s backwards compatible

Not so much for the switch. I do grab most of the Nintendo published games. I am more of a PS4 collector. For the switch, I think I have around 700-800 games. PS4 has become my favorite system. Previously it was the PS1

@@ps4collector the PS4 is definitely a very good console with a lots of high quality first party titles. Your Switch collection sounds very impressive. I mostly played RPGs on the PS1 but it was really with the PS2 that I starting collecting. While Switch is my main collecting focus, I still get a lot of PS5 games. Thank you for sharing
