yea i disagree on kurze, he needed some sort of legitimate human interaction that wasn't someone trying to kill him. he also could have done with some therapy and guidance on his near perfect prescience

@@methuselahh_ Sangunius literally told him exactly where he was wrong from one prescient to another and he rejected him outright because his ego would not allow him to question his moral code. Kurze was obsessed with making sure his preminitions CAME true, Sanguinius was obsessed with making his own destiny and rebelling against fate. Obviously Sangy was the more mentally stable of the two but his outlook on life was superior and kept him from the insanity that was Kurze's interpretation of "being able to see the future" Hopelessness vs Hope, its actually astonishing that Kurze didnt go batshit insane earlier, the Emperor himself even tried to fucking show him the error of his ways by talking to him from the effigy Kurze had made of him and STILL he stubbornly clung to his beliefs and ways despite KNOWING at this point that he was wrong. His death was his final act of defiance against his father and brother's outlook on fate and destiny, CHILDISHLY choosing to DIE to try to prove the superiority of his world view.

@ and all of that could have been avoided had he had a legitimate human interaction in his life. i’m not denying that curze is messed up, he had been driven insane long before that conversation with sanguinius. his story is a tragedy, it all could have been avoided if literally anyone had been nice to him. he was what he was made to be, and yet he is reviled for it

@ and even then it was far too late, the damage had been done. every other primarch, even angron, had some sort of familial figure in their lives. everyone except curze. his first human interaction was a man trying to murder him. he had to scrounge on the streets eating stray animals and corpses to survive. that’s the sort of thing that’s gonna shape you from a young age especially with a primarchs advanced aging and mental capacities
