Drago might as well be a Primarch he has so much plot armor. He not only soloed the 14th Primarch he carved the name of the previous chapter master of the gray knights into Mortarian's heart while he was still alive.

Weren't the grey knights made from the shard of Magnus when Malchador had it? Doesn't that mean they are the born of Magnums

I mean, with their Chapter Master dead, the shard of Magnus went with him and it was gone. It's theorized that when the Chapter Master died, Kaldor received the shard of Magnus, hence why he is so strong. I don't know the recent lore but if there's new GKs being made, they don't have the shard anymore.
