How do these "Experts" know so much News from the CCP???

As far as range, I drive my ice until it needs more gas which is around 450 miles. Drove from Northern Virginia to Enterprise, Alabama with only 1 stop for fuel at the midway point. I want an electric vehicle that can do the same. However, I know you can't really do that since you only fill up to 80% at most on road trips, in EVs, and from what I see many only charge for 10-20 minutes to get you to your next charger. Too many useless stops in my book. I like to get to my destination as quickly as possible.

“What made Rivian go down?” What? Losing billions every quarter isn’t reason enough?

some of the shit people say when they are ev haters haha

"not making money on its vehicles" is an understatement. Specifically, taking quarterly GAAP loss and dividing by number of vehicles sold, Rivian's GAAP loss per vehicle is clearly over $100k per vehicle… not the nuanced $30k loss rivian claims: 3Q23 - $90k/vehicle 4Q23 - $107.4k/vehicle 1Q24 - $103.0k/vehicle 2Q24 - 105.7k/vehicle

"USA EV Market Explodes to 8% Share!" EXPLODES is definitely right word for electric cars.

EV batteries are improving in terms of energy density, cost, and charging speed. EVs are not at parity with ICE in every single way (refuel time and cost), but they will continue to gain market share as more improvements come. Progress takes time, but it is inevitable.

It cracks me up that you spent so much time talking about nuclear. Nuclear fission is dead and gone. Any future nuclear plants will be fusion...if that ever happens. Mankind is about to move away from the production of heat in order to create electricity. Wind and solar tied to large batteries is the way of the future. 1. Nobody wants a giant polluting power plant or nuclear facility in their back yard, but solar panels and windmills are much more tolerable. 2. The economics are such that wind and solar with batteries is already the least expensive method to capture energy that is already FREE. 3. All day long, all over the earth, we already over produce electricity by 10% to prevent blackouts and brownouts. That 24/7 over production will easily help to fill the battery packs when the renewables are not as productive.

For tires, I recommend the Michelin CrossClimate II's for any vehicle. I have a Model Y with 72k miles on those tires and 3mm of tread remaining!!!!. It is my daughter's vehicle and she is not as passive a driver as myself. The brakes and rotors on that same 2020 Model Y are the originals at 145k miles.

All we really need for apartment dwellers is the equivalent of a Costco gas station. By equivalent, I mean DC fast-charging at about the same convenience level of gassing up at Costco. Which means having a charge station within about 15 miles, and giving you a 'full' charge in about the same time as waiting in the queue and then gassing up. Or, at least for me for the prior 10 years, a 12-mile drive to/from Costco, and a 15-20 minute queue/fillup. I did that about every two weeks most of the time, more often at others. It seems that saving $1.50 on gas fill is enough to coax an awful lot of drivers into spending 20 minutes gassing up.

Induction charging will be the solution for apartment dwellers. Curbside parking spaces will have an induction charging pad built into the pavement. You'll just park the car... or rather let it park itself. Then input the parking space number in an app... and you can go home, the car will be all charged the next morning. And no cable to be stolen, nothing to be vandalised or to fail!

I have had an Alfa Romeo Tonale Sprint PHEV EAWD for 15 months. No matter what people have said about Alfa Romeo in the past, the Tonale PHEV is by far a much better vehicle then most people think. I have had zero problems with it, got it for less then MSRP ( try that with a Rav4 Prime ), get better EV range and gas mileage then stated on the MSRP sheet, and it handles great, looks better then any of it's competition, and actually fits nicely in my garage.

Check out the Volvo S60 Recharge. EV range of 40-45miles. 455hp (combined). Its not an SUV (thankfully) and looks amazing. But its in its final years so enjoy it while you can.

Crap no real data, I have wanted to do the route 50 from Nevada going east and no one covers it with EV stops, yes I see the EV charge stations but no one does a video on them, need to know if they work and what problems I might have? Also type of connection I need and level 1 -2 or 3 chargers..

Amazing how you uncritically accept a report from the company itself even though it contradicts a large number of independent reports that say Teslas actually have the highest accident rate. Tesla is not transparent about its data and there is known to employ dishonesty in is PR. There was 0 analysis here, just regurgitation of Tesla's marketing material

Tesla are unsafe period. It can even kill children see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hobdiKl3lLRggtk Stupid door handles, stupid single center console, terrible build quality. Reinventing the wheel in ways far worse than the proven tried and true!! And then there is the Leon!
@Petar120Ай бұрын
Fire statistic is worse for tesla because if you take in mind the amount of water it takes to put out an EV fire it covers for all the good stats, also you're comparing few million teslas if even so to almost a billion cars in all of these statistics. But ofc they do that on their website because it makes their stats look good, however their stock price and downfall of EVs in general says a completely different story.
