The 130,qnd 140 XL are goimg to be exciting. Giving the CdM Flexploter and Damen support yachts a run for the money. Bering is introducing the 165 in a Med style which will,have an open back deck, but for a lap pool and outside beach club. Not for the tender and toys. I always liked Kando, it was a great yacht for Denison in the charter program they had. Very popular I was told. The layout is a reminder of Bluegame somewhat, which makes it unique. Who woukd want that.

Are there only five crew for twelve guests? And do the crew have to be exposed to the elements to get to the galley? That could be unpleasant in the colder areas, especially if there's strong winds and waves slapping against the hull.

While the captain's cabin in behind the bridge, which is good, he'd have to run through the bridge and guest hallway to get to a bathroom, what? While it's good the crew cabins have more space, there's only two of them (and located with no direct access to the galley)... so a 33.5 meter yacht with 5 crew (but for 12 guests). And this on an explorer, which by nature is meant to go long distance and be at sea for a while. Sorry, but no.
@grondheroАй бұрын
I haven't seen a captain's cabin located behind the bridge that didn't have an en suite; it appears this does at 5:51. The crew count would be a problem for me as well, if it's just five.
@JyttesTrailCameraАй бұрын
@@grondhero The GA at 5:51 is what I'm looking at... Has the captain's cabin on the port side, then closet/stairs and a hallway (between bridge and upper salon) in the middle, and then a bathroom with shower on starboard side. They basically added a shower to the day head for it to be used for the captain I guess? I've actually seen another yacht that had a small cabin behind he bridge with no head whatsoever on that level (on a YT video), and another one on a GA only. Go figure LOL

Does the Bulbous bow also slows down the pitch of the ship? Because you get waterpressure on top or underneath it slowing down the up and down movement.

Actually, that's a good question. I would imagine it does, but I'll find a naval architect to answer you!
@peterhoofien7302Ай бұрын
@@yachtbuilders Thanks! Looking forward to the answer! If it does, can you ask also if it will have more effect on lighter ships (aluminium and GRP) than heavier (steel) ships. Also the shape of the bulbous bow will probably matter. The one AvA uses will have more effect than the one Bering uses.
@franks.hansen6788Ай бұрын
If the bulb slows down the downforce because of the inside air volume, you will also get the opposite effect with the bulb helping the bow to rise back up again because of the entrapped air.
@peterhoofien7302Ай бұрын
@franks.hansen6788 Probably has to do more with the volume of water that is displaces and the resistance it gets to go around the bulbous bow and the pressures that creates.

"What could possibly go wrong?" is exactly the question to ask in planning every single aspect of a yacht :) Now, personally I would never own a composite yacht, but that does not prevent me from being interested in the design and work that goes into them. The design and layout of the cat made me sit up and pay attention... Now there's a cat I'd love to watch a walkthrough of, once it's finished :) (and I'm not usually into cats either). Great video. I'll for sure pay attention to Lazzara yachts from now on.

Nice to see a Turkish yacht builder prioritise quality construction, but troubling to see the Lazarra website claim to be an AMERICAN company, with no mention of Turkey AT ALL. The first line of the 'about us' section reads: "Lazzara Yachts is a legendary American company" (please note the use of present tense) and the HQ address is apparently Fort Lauderdale, which is not in Turkey... at least last time I checked. And it would have been nice if David Seal's employers, Northrop & Johnson, did not also offer a misleading description of the company on THEIR website (where they are selling at least one Lazzara Yacht) as "Lazzara Yachts are an American yacht building tradition" (again, present tense). Yes, Lazzara did build boats in Florida, but not any more, since they were bought from the restructured remnants of the original ownership group of Americans. So I guess striving for the highest quality does not extend beyond the design and production departments to the folks in marketing.

Lazzzara is an American company. They have moved their construction to Turkey. But nothing has changed. It is still American. Is Ford a Chinese company because they build cars in China?
@RandomGuyRandomNumber2 ай бұрын
@@kokomo9764 A yacht builder that is 100% owned by a Turkish company (having purchased the brand from its American founders) is run from, and builds all its boats in, Turkey is by any rational definition a Turkish company, despite the technicality of the brand name being retained in an intermediate US holding company. Having some operations overseas as part of a multi-national organisation, like Ford, is not a fair comparison. A company like Grand Banks, which builds all of its boats in Taiwan, but is still owned and run by Americans in USA still qualifies as an American company, but when every function is transferred overseas as here, then common sense would indicate the fundamental difference.

@@grondhero No, I am merely commenting on a comments page that a company is being economical with the truth, and then engaging with the comments of others who may hold a different point of view... or am I missing the point of comments pages ? And it should be obvious that my point was not where companies CAN build, but rather that they should be up-front about where they DO build.
@grondhero2 ай бұрын
@@RandomGuyRandomNumber Clearly you fail to communicate or comprehend what you're reading. In addition you are "being economical with the truth" as *Euro Marine* also states _"Lazzara Yachts is a legendary American company with decades of yacht building experience, delivering innovation and uniqueness in everything we do."_ Why did you ignore that? Or did you not do full research? Shipyards are still there in Florida. Are you saying someone else owns them, even though their office is there? A simple street view would have helped you.

Too bad they got rid of the jet ski pods on the sides of the yacht. That was one of the coolest features on a Lazzara. That plus their 'atrium' effect that worked exceptionally well. We only have seen the one Lazzara. Hopefully we see the catamaran pretty soon. I got excited when I heard Bering was going to be making catamarans, and also Wider and Silver. Now that Lazzara is building one, maybe Numarine and Mengi Yay will build one next. That would be amazing to see. You got any insight there David?
