It’s a lot of fun to learn more about the Genesis games as I go. I hope you have the same experience with it as I am having. I’m trying not to look up games with it, I just want to find them in a more natural way with that system. If you do end up playing one that you have a good first experience with, please let me know. That’s awesome, I feel like with the console wars being kind of pushed at us as kids, I don’t hear that as often. I’m glad you two had both and enjoyed them both like that! Sounds like your wife has good taste in movies! 😁 That’s a good way to collect, while I am going for every NES (and will probably go for every SNES too) for me, those have a different meaning, one that I can’t really fully explain. But I think for every other system, my collecting will be the same as yours. I’m excited to collect the other systems that way, I think it will be a lot of fun.

That’s a really good question that I hadn’t thought about. I don’t normally trade or sell items, so I’m not sure. Thanks for giving me something to think about with my Genesis collection. I’d like it to be a curated set so this is something I’ll have to look at.

Totally! It’s always fun to think back on all the playground talk about games and the rumors the swirled about them there. It’s a fun system to collect for. It’s the one system that I love the boxes for, I just have to have them cib for the Genesis. I’m going to have to get back at that X-men game, I can’t let the first level beat me that easily! 😂🤣😂

If your a fan of swords, do I know a convention for sword shopping 🤣😂 I’m fine with a sword booth, I’m cool with 2 sword booths… even at sword booth 4 I was like, “ok I can get behind this”… it was sword booths 6 and beyond I was left scratching my head 🤔🤣

Depending on what you would have been looking for, you probably didn’t miss out on a ton. You would have had a vast selection of swords tho! 🤣⚔️

It’s super sad that it’s going that way. Save the money and hit up the smaller shows, that’s where the good stuff is now.

There was a full booth here selling beef jerky, and that’s just the one that stood out to me. 😂🤣 I have been to really good cons that have a couple of booths that sell cookies and snack foods, but those they normally at least try to theme the cookies to games or comics 😂🤣

Absolutely they are. I do feel bad for the vendors because at $800+ per table at this event ($1200+ per table at its sister show in Calgary). They probably feel that they have to try and make it up somewhere and bring prices up. The smaller shows around here seem to be a better value as a whole.

After booth 7 I think even BOTW Link would think it’s a little too much 😂🤣😂

I did the survey and made sure that if they read it, they will know what they did 😂🤣 Guess I’ll just have to make up for this one by coming to RetroWorld next year instead 🤔

Absolutely, I wish they would do a better job of screening the vendors to avoid so many that are just the same thing repeated.

Every year there are more and more here. It kinda feel like that’s what this is becoming 😂 One big flea market convention.

That’s probably a good idea. Some of the smaller and younger cons can be really great and a lot of fun but the ones owned by these big con groups seem to not be as worth it anymore. Yeah I probably should have been saying prop metal swords, hopefully no one takes me too seriously and tried to take any of those into “battle”! I mean, I would watch that for the laughs, but it wouldn’t be good for anyone 🤣😂🤣
