I hope you’re still around. Massive respect to you , a really pretty lass and undoing the stigma of stomas. Brave doesn’t even come into it. Nobody knows what’s around the corner. 6 years ago at 43 I caught pneumonia in England then Sepsis. I was in intensive care for over a month. Had a tracheostomy, kidney dialysis , and my lungs were fucked. Mainly due to smoking Marlboro reds for 30 years and other nefarious drugs. I was fine up until the sepsis but my oxygen sats were a major problem. I’m now awaiting a double lung transplant and have to carry Oxygen around with me in a little ruck sack thing with a nasal cannula in. I was pensioned off as need to be on oxygen 24 hours a day so the stigma of being on oxygen really made me self conscious to the point of not wanting to leave my home. So big respect as I say to you girl and hope you’re keeping well. Love from the UK. x

You don't have to put a clip at the bottom of the bag to prevent leaking?

You are one brave lady and this was so informative and helpful. I see that it was posted 12 years ago. We never know the amount of lives that we’re going to touch when we post something like this. Reading the comments you have definitely touched and continue to positively impact others. I just got home from the hospital yesterday with mine after being in the hospital for one week and one day.. I had my first bag change yesterday and cried. However, I was more thankful to be alive than anything. This video is super helpful and gave me Hope. Plus your positivity and encouragement to be patient was really touching. You definitely brought some tears to my eyes too with your positivity and acceptance. Thank you again!

Wow lady. You are so courageous. I am about to have a big tumour removed from my rectum, and with it some of the rectum as well. I will then have an ostomy bag for at least 3 months. I hope I am half as strong as you

"Use a towel just incase" unless you have a stoma that acts like a geyser... need to set up the bathroom like an assassin does in the movies by sticking plastic over everything including the walls.

How strong is this person! This shouldn’t be happening to our young! How could we allow this? It’s criminal what we allow in our food.

I use Convatec Products, 2 piece & barrier ring, so much more efficient than this system, alot less skin irritation. I order through Liberator Medical.

Your are an amazing young lady. I am 81 years old and a year and half ago I had a Colostomy. It was a life saving surgery. I had lost close to 50 lbs. Now I can eat like before I had problems. The very best to you!

Just got out of the hospital. 6 weeks, 3 weeks of icu. All sorts of complications with what started as an absesed appedix. We had terrible troubles with my leaking connections, infected skin and poorley placed ostemi to my new bags at the hospital. All it took was 1 night at home on youtube researching and some 3d printed augments I made to get my seal right with the bags I have atm. I just wanted to thankyou for empowering all of us with your content and others like you. The new age is really amazing, thankyou for helping making it happen.
