Please do keep up with guest content creators that you've had on. Especially Jesse from True Footy/Eagle and Pommy in Oz. Another content creator I'd 150% recommend reaching out to at some point next year is Daz from Daz talks footy. He's a very knowledgeable AFL content creator on KZbin and has often mention a hidden love for North as that's his partners team. A Hawks supporter at Heart but definitely worth doing a collaboration with. All the best moving forward Marnie it certainly has been a wild 2024 and I hope to find the time to reach out with my own story to you in 2025. Merry Christmas

KZbin lets us watch our most decorated champion players, like Blight, Greig, Schimmelbusch, Glendinning, Dench, the Krakouer brothers and company, playing in games that we lost. So we all need to acknowledge what a tough and competitive competition our players are in, and how the bounce of that oval ball, and umpires, sometimes the opposition, make winning hard. Thankyou Luke and Marnie for a great Kanga TV chat :)

Losing the likes of Hugh Greenwood & Liam Shiels due to retirement sucked for leadership. Greenwood seemed like a nice bloke, where Liam Shiels was an absolute star. Thought the hole Liam Shiels was leaving was going to be very hard to fill, until the news of Luke Parker. Yes Caleb Daniels & Jack Darling are better footballers than both Greenwood (obviously) & Shiels. But Luke Parker is still A grade, can’t wait to see him playing in blue & white

I feel you Josh, growing up I didn't know any North fans, even through the 90s it was just my family but in the 00's I happened upon a mob of roos and they were all local to me, suddenly there was about 6 which is massive compared to me only, we went to so many games through the Laidley era and ran into the same people every week, even without the success of the 90s, I enjoyed the 00's so much more. Unfortunately we've all now gone out separate ways but I do occasionally bump into some of them at a game and it reminds me that footy is so much better shared with your mates. Edit: and when your team is winning 😂

Aside from his excellent tackling, natural distribution skills and vision--his speed for a contested ball player is overlooked as one asset that's critically undervalued. In his draft year, Will Phillips ran the 20m sprint a sub 3 second time. He's got the speed, but perhaps not the endurance over four quarters, to move the ball from contests and use his skills to create scoring opportunities. His endurance getting from contest to contest didn't quite stand up late in games. It showed in the dying seconds of one VFL when he missed a critical contested ball win that nearly cost the VFL team the game. We all know he needs time at senior level to develop endurance and learn from these contested ball mistakes. As long as he can run out senior AFL games next season, his overall package will be critical for us beyond 2025. He's looking fit and running well so far, his attitude is first class, and he's got the natural leadership skills to make his team mates walk taller as we did against Collingwood when he played such a critical part. Good luck Will.
