You should get yourself a float boat they’re made in New Zealand it’ll keep your fish out of the water and you’ll be able to lay on it to rest instead of swimming back to the boat

What factors do you look into before heading out to give you a gauge of what visibility might be like?
@ExhaleAdventures16 күн бұрын
For the Mackay area, mainly how much rain we have had and how big the tides have been. If we have a combination of big tides and rain the coastal visibility will be terrible. Some times after rain on the big tides with little rain, the water movement can bring cleaner water into the coast and flush the fresh/dirty water out. I will also use the Ripcharts app for regular satellite image updates.

Not to far mate, I have seen and speared good trout on the Harbour Wall!

EPIC dive! 04:50 maybe good to have your hood over the go pro headstrap.... i personally learned a lesson from it.
@ExhaleAdventures18 күн бұрын
Hey mate, it was an awesome day out. I need to drag the kayak out for another coastal day! As for the GoPro/headstrap. Depending on your arrangement having the GoPro strap under the hood may mean that your mask is over top of everything.I have personally had my go pro get bump and pulled off looking in caves etc, if it was under my mask strap that would have meant a mask full of water in a cave! I’ve been wearing my GoPro/DJI over my hood for the past 6 years without issue. I’ve been doing a little trick I learnt from Dan Mann and I explain it in this vid at the 14:30 mark. I hope it helps you out mate 🍻 kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6POdnqudtx4b8ksi=wFgJkmyHs39fNEmJ

I’ve been enjoying it most recently with just salt and pepper in a pan and a bit of Taco seasoning. I’ll make a nice neat fillet to fit in a burger. Cook that up and make a massive works burger! So good 🤤

Im in yeppoon. Will have to try and get up for a look. Good video but i really dont like the solo diving. Even in shallows. I know we all end up there at times but. Keep up the videos.
@ExhaleAdventures20 күн бұрын
Thanks for checking the vid out! It’s a hard one, it’s definitely wayyy safer diving with someone or multiple people. I understand this and kind of accept the additional risk because I enjoy the adventure of being solo so much. Where I fail is reenforcing the safety point during my solo videos. I’ll endeavour to be better at that in the future. Thanks for your comment 🍻

Another great video. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your content. I’ve watched you use a reel and float/float line. Not counting hunting pelagic species, I’m really interested to know what factors guide your decision to use a reel vs a float line.
@ExhaleAdventures29 күн бұрын
Hey mate, mainly depth and different situations. If I’m alone you will nearly always see me with a float and float line to be extra visible to other boaters.
