My gift suggestions: Wacaco Picopresso - portable coffee brewer that makes excellent coffee, you can get it for about $100,- Victorinox Cadet - super unobtrusive classic for EDC Grid-It organizer - helps you keep the contents of your bags orderly Thrunite T1S v2 - Thrunite's competition to the Olight Baton4, but without the proprietary charging Olight Olantern Classic 2 (Pro or Lite) - two great camping lanterns with excellent runtimes, the Pro has a built-in rechargeable battery pack and doubles as a charger, the Lite requires four AA batteries

Better option than the tuff possum IMO is the Helikon Tex Sere pouch. About the same size but has options for molle, a removable strap, a dangler so it can go under your jacket and still be accessible, and internal organizers that are really handy

Haha ☺️ Spot on there mate. It makes me laugh when companies like Marathon sell “military” watches for well over $1000. How much do they think soldiers get paid?! But yeah, Zack is a trendy hipster first, working guy second.
@CharlesAPounds98911 ай бұрын
Is $358 a lot of money if the jacket will last you 30 years ?
@John5.5611 ай бұрын
@@CharlesAPounds989well “expensive” is a very subjective term considering everyone doesn’t make the same amount of money. With that being said I make decent money and there’s no way in hell I’m paying $80 for a hat or $300+ for a jacket.
@John5.5611 ай бұрын
Almost as ridiculous as wranglerstar promoting an $800 light denim jacket. Definitely a lot of shills pushing products on social media by hipsters who have never worked a day in their life or can’t refuse the sponsorship money or cool tinker toys and gear they get to push the companies overpriced products. Just my unwanted opinion.

Cannot recommend the James Brand Elko knife enough. I remember going back and forth on whether I wanted to pull the trigger or not since it was pricey for a small keychain sort of knife but I use it every single day. As someone who actually does carry a pocket knife almost every day, this thing actually gets more use since it's used for opening packages, mail, cutting small things off like thread or what not. Solid little piece of gear and one I'm happy I picked up.

I watched Jamie’s medical kit video. Good stuff. As far EDC stuff, mine seems to evolve every year or so. I have moved to a Hunter model for my Victorinox since it has the most common items I use. This is backed up by a White River M1 or a Spyderco Tenacious in S35VN. When appropriate I will carry a larger knife or saw for pruning branches and small trees. Great video. I appreciate the education you have instilled in me.

No need to buy the Work Sharp strop. I picked up a 10 inch by 10 inch piece of leather from the hobby shop for $2.99. I two sided taped directly on the diamond steel. I can remove the strop and still have the steel if needed in the field.

Ok so nice vid but it would've been even more helpful if prices were included. Side note on the 70's art book... the reason you won't find a lot of those artists around is likely because most of them are/were CIA operatives using alias's (they like to influence us in many ways). another side note... that work sharp handlheld pocket sharpener thing already comes in a strop and ceramic rod version branded under Benchmade tho, I believe. I do own both the sharpener shown and the BM strop. Strop gunks up pretty quick tho ime. Which is prob why they sell the replacements I assume. Also, it's a shame Boker doesn't care about lefties. I like some of their knives, but like 97% are not lefty friendly which is a shame.
