I'm going to Japan for the spring semester and I've been having a lot of anxiety about how I've only had 2.5 years of learning Japanese and still worry about being too informal, formal, or using the wrong conjugation for verbs. This channel really put me at ease hearing him get some things in Japanese slightly incorrect and not getting shunned for it. I guess I've been hearing too much negativity when it comes to Japan so it's nice to see some positivity every now and then.

People who defend this with the excuse that they're just not used to foreigners would never say the same if some bartender in a rural town in the US told some customers to not come in after realising they're foreigners. Double standards

Wait a minute; if they break the rules there, and if the rule is "connor gets to break the rules," doesn't they mean they have to break the rule that conner gets to break the rules and thus prevent him from breaking the rules?

A lot of these streamers talk about social anxiety, but they never actually had it to a degree where it was an actual issue. It's just.... normal levels of anxiety for the situation. Like, there's 'oh, yeah, I get so nervous doing prank calls' vs ' I had bouts of mutism where I would have to write out what I wanted to say on a piece of paper because I couldn't get the words out of my mouth no matter how hard I tried. And if I got too stressed out over it, I would go into a panic attack and hyperventilate." I forced myself to start working in retail so that I could get better. It took years, and a LOT of practice, and I think if you met me now, you likely wouldn't think I had it. But even now, I still have slip ups every now and then. Bocchi is pretty unrealistic though. No one with social anxiety is getting up on a stage in front of a dozen strangers and doing anything except promptly leaving lol... Any time someone would put me on the spot, I would promptly burst into tears. Even now I can just barely maintain my composure.

Nice video. Its not necessary to apologize and definitely you don't have to use Moushiwake Gozaimasen when you have done absolutely nothing wrong and you are the customer. It's fine just saying sumimasen as a thank you for the inconvenience. :) I only say this if you want to learn to sound more natural in a situation like this.
