Did the cobalt come from the manufacturer or was that done after you recieved the bike?
@kammortensen26006 ай бұрын
The color was cobalt blue from the factory. If you are asking about the frame wrap, that is an aftermarket item that was installed from my local bike shop. It's called frame wrap.

Crazy. I looked at the first chute and walked away. You make it look easy. Rode FF for the first time yesterday which was a little much for me on the bigger rock roll.

I will add, the only downside is many riders (myself…..) seem to forget how to shift properly. I wore out a GX cassette in two cogs (8th and 9th gear) in about 600 miles. Like it’s fried. With all that power, it’s easy to forget to use cadence still
@kammortensen26008 ай бұрын
I agree. They need to make stronger parts for ebikes. I stretched my chain faster than normal and ended up needing to buy a new cassette. I won't do that again. It's still worth all the fun, though.
@calebsiegler54718 ай бұрын
How many miles do you think it took for that to happen to you? I think the exact same thing happened to me.
@kammortensen26008 ай бұрын
@calebsiegler5471 around 400 miles. It was a bit frustrating that I could have avoided buying a new cassette by checking my chain more often. I learned the hard way.

Those trails look like they'd be a blast to ride! I really need to expand beyond just doing the handful of trails near my house....I really need a bike rack. 😂

New trails and riding with better riders then me has improved my riding for sure. The trails are great. I am very lucky to have amazing trails all around me. I hope you get a rack and start exploring. That is the best part of riding.

Great video. What is the bike computer you are using on the bars? Is that a GPS unit or one for the bike itself?

It is a Garmin 520. I also use a Garmin 830. They both sync up with the bike. It's a great feature. It shows me what mode I'm in and the percentage of the battery.

What tires where those?
@kammortensen260010 ай бұрын
At the time of this video I had the tires that came with the bike. The Eliminator T7 tire. Great grip but I actually tore two side walls. I have switched out to the Butcher Grid Gravity T9 tire. It has much stronger side walls and I haven't had an issue since. The new tire I am running isn't as soft and smooth but they are way more durable.

Mtb for 38 years, and that mullet wheel design on the levo is incredible! The best set I have ever ridden, great roll over, or punch through on techy with front tire . Rear more playfull ,maneuverability, corning,jumping!

The proper units for a battery is watt-hours. Not watt! Power is what your motor delivers and watts, Energy is what is stored in your battery and is expressed as watt-hours. Sorry, I'm a units geek and it's super annoying when people get their math messed up. It's kind of like saying I have a water system that delivers 60 psi per hour. 😂

Very nice landscape you were in ... how's the motor uphill? Is it very quiet or does it get louder on steeper climbs?
@kammortensen2600 Жыл бұрын
It gets a little louder the higher mode you are in and climbing adds to it as well. It still isn't very loud in Turbo and climbing. It's a great bike.

Hi Kam, do you have your rear hub made quiet? Can really hear it.
@kammortensen2600 Жыл бұрын
That was a replacement wheel to get me by until Specialized warranties my original hub. The one they replaced it with is much louder. I'm not really happy about it. I like the silent hubs better.

When I ride my E mt bike, a high level Canyon Spectral CF8 I ride it flat out, full motor and pedals spun up to make it go. I dont idle around any.......................then I get on my regular bikes and I ride the same way. Im used to spinning at that level an E bike needs to go at it's best. E bike is good for between high effort rides on road bike. Roadbikers all think E bikes are total pussy things. They have no idea what goes on.

what trail settings do you have in the mission control? and accelration response?
@kammortensen2600 Жыл бұрын
I have the trail setting at 65% support and 80% peak power with the acceleration response at 80%. That is the only setting that I have adjusted. I have kept the ECO and Turbo at the factory setting. I like to have the power as soon as I pedal so thats why I have the response at 80%. If I am riding in really loose rocks I will turn it down.

I got the same bike in April 2023, rode it like crazy on my road trip through Oregon, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. Awesome. Unfortunately the Kuat rack failed twice (both plastic ratchet arms broke) and when the bike fell over it bent the rear wheel. It’s taking forever to replace. Nearly a month now.
@boblatkey716011 ай бұрын
Yes, those things suck, get a 1up bike rack, there isn't a single piece of plastic on it and both wheels sit with in the restraints so your bike will never get loose.
@SummitBidTech11 ай бұрын
@@boblatkey7160 agreed! I have a 1Up bike rack! The only reason I had the Kuat was a temporary needed a bike rack on a road trip situation and my 1Up was on my other vehicle. Kuat was more available at the time but definitely not as robust.
