@@kammortensen2600 I know you say you’re a big guy, but you’re not :). I’m curious if you would have bought the comp again or just gone for the standard alloy. I’m debating both but I am truly a bigger rider and I’ll put the bike with me and gear closer to its limit of 300#’s.

@@Averagedude764 they are both great bikes. I would buy the alloy comp if I could get it in blue again. If I couldn't get the blue I would be good with the base model as long as I upgraded to the 700 WH battery. To me that is the biggest difference between the two. I love being able to go farther and climb more.

Hi Kam - as you've pointed out, your all-up rider weight can have an appreciable influence on the battery range - as can the severity of the grade you're climbing and correspondingly how much assistance you're asking from the motor... In that regard, as a suggestion - If you're looking to maximise your range and have not tried it already, consider experimenting further with the Mission Control settings for Eco and Trail. As an example, I have Eco set at 35% (max 60%) and Trail set at 60% (max 100%) and that little extra percentage (over the stock settings and yours in the video) means I end up riding in Eco for much more of the time overall, and only really use Trail as more of an intermediate/temporary setting for steeper terrain... In addition, since I now get an appreciable boost in Trail it means I almost never use Turbo 100% (max 100%) at all unless the gradient is really severe - and I've found that consciously switching between those two particular Eco and Trail settings as conditions dictate usefully extends the range of the battery.

Love your Videos - thanks! Had my 2019 for service and saw your blue one in the shop and instantly got caught 😍. I upgraded my basic 2019 Model with 36 Fox Factory and x2 and it was another bike compared to the original with 150 fork. Now should I get the color that I love, or pay an additional grand for better fork & rear shock and brakes and carbon frame - saving two kilos?

Thanks for watching and the kind words. I don't worry about weight when it comes to ebikes so I went with the one that looked awesome! They didn't have the Carbon Comp model available when I bought mine but I still would of went with the alloy comp in blue since it looks great and the suspension was the same on both bikes. In the future I might upgrade my fork to the Fox 38 or the Zeb. Still trying to get the 36 to feel good but I think with the weight of the bike and my weight it is a bit undersized.

Interesting to see. where i live it is flat to get to the mountains, so there and back is 34miles with 20 in the fun stuff. On the e-bike when fit can squeeze 85 to 95 miles. though maybe 30 to 45 in the steep as tend to stay in eco mode. Will be testing this summer see whats what when fit again! good vid.

Thanks for this video. I was curious what the range was on this bike. I did 3,631 Elev Gain about 24.34 miles on Factory Turbo mode. I was just wondering if that was good or not. I’ve just purchased this same bike in black a few weeks ago this Month July 2022. Even on turbo you really got to push it to maintain top speed and it’s still a workout especially on the steep technical climbs.

Congrats an getting an amazing bike. Sounds like a good amount on Turbo. It's really hard to say how far you can go since there are so many things that factor in. Elevation gain, type of trail, ride weight and power etc. The biggest thing I go off of is the amount of smiling I do on my levo so hopefully you are getting plenty of that. Enjoy some amazing rides and thanks for watching.

Great videos! Looking at getting this exact same bike and would be the first e-bike purchase. How long does it typically take you to recharge your battery to full? You mentioned like 220-230 pounds as well with your pack so will be interesting to see what kind of an impact a different weight would have on battery range.

You will love it. Such a fun bike to ride. It usually takes around 4 hours if its dead to charge all the way. I'm not sure how much weight will affect it. I'm guessing if I was 15 pounds lighter I could of got 3-5 miles more with 300'-500' more climbing with the same power output. Specialized has a distance calculator you can put different weights in and it will adjust the distance. I'm not sure how accurate it is but might be worth looking at.

I've noticed that a lot of Levos have a noisy brake, personally I dont like it specially on a bike that is quiet overall. Any way to remedy that? Pads? Rotors? I am still waiting on my levo comp carbon to be fixed, it arrived at my shop completely dead...it will not turn on and they are still waiting on Specialized to resolve it. It makes me think twice about owning such a pricey e-bike and the bugs and high maintenance cost that it comes with this technology. Love your channel btw!!

Big fan of your videos. How do you like the stock Float X shock, being a heavier rider? I read in forums that Gen 3 Levo stock shock can be challenging to set up to provide small bump sensitivity and good mid stroke.
@kammortensen2600
@kammortensen2600 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you are doing research on the fork because I didn't and it has been the only thing that has disappointed me on this bike. It was terrible at high speeds with small bumps and I was very frustrated. I had it set up like they suggested and still hated it. Just a couple days ago we added two more tokens (now a total of 4) and dropped the pressure from 110 PSI to 95 PSI and it made a big difference. It's not prefect but it's getting closer to being setup like I like it. My friend actually just bought the new Levo and is putting the new Zeb on it. If I can't get mine dialed that will be my next step. In my opinion they should never put anything smaller than a 38 on an ebike with over 140mm of travel. Let me know what you end up doing.

@@kammortensen2600 that’s awesome man. I’ve only gotten 3 medium size rides in on it so far, just got it. My buddy tried to talk me into it a year ago. I should have listened. It’s an amazing training tool for getting way more trail exposure way faster. Anybody that thinks they are lame or cheating or whatever truly just doesn’t get it. We aren’t racing. Nuff said. I, as a new rider who is obsessed with this sport but very very short on time, and hit a plateau on my pedal bike around 1900 foot elevation days, can now see that much trail in half the time, or see even more, still faster. I can create opportunities to practice cornering UPHILL which is bonkers. I can ride with my XC neighbor now and actually chase him and see what it’s like to go as fast as he can on a bike. He’s Olympic level. It’s madness. Love the bike. Sort of wished I’d of gone for the carbon comp as it is quite a heavy bike to lug around. Excited to spend the whole Arizona winter season on it.
