Based on a video to use a basic tool, maybe a vid on how to untie my shoes!! Good description for non-handy people, but the real issue is when deposits stick the aerator. It is so tight that (expensive) cheap little plastic tool just shears the teeth off. I just had to machine and make an annular cutter to cut down to the bottom thread then a mirror and a steel pick to get the last thread out. Horrible design, poor tool for the job from Delta. If you dont have a lathe, good luck getting this thing out. Lesson - -take it out monthly and use some silicone grease to keep it clear. I am in a real pickle - - found this video looking for a well engineered tool to remove the stuck, and a thread chaser to prevent a replacement from sticking. I am now off to call Delta for the lifetime warranty. Yuck.

Thank you! Your advice allowed me to remove and clean the aerator. In case this helps anyone else, I have one of those faucets that pulls out to become a sprayer, and it seemed much of the obstruction was just above the hose. The hose is detachable, and I was able to remove most or all of the debris, and now it all works like new! I was afraid my old pipes might be full of deposits and need replaceement.

First video I saw I said to news needle nose pliers to get it out well of course I made a mess of it and now the key won't even take it out SMH I need a handyman LOL

I replaced the carriage and afterwards the door would open, but when closing it would only move about a foot and then stop. I then watched this video and saw you lubing your carriage with silicone spray. I did that and it worked! I had never thought of lubricating it and the video I referred to for installation instructions never mentioned it. Now I know! Thanks!

Thanks for this video. It took me 15 minutes per door, went ahead and did both. Autozone has them in stock and was able to fix them the same day they broke.

One very important step missed in your video was to make sure you're not working with shunted receptacles in the light fixture, especially since it appears you used the same sockets that came with the fixture. Some LED manufactures provide to non shunted and pre-wired sockets to avoid this mistake. Yours were fairly straight forward because the connection was on the front-facing area of the socket. Sometimes referred to as tombstones. This usually only applies to older fixtures. If you're unsure take a multi-meter and run a continuity test between the pins in the socket after the ballast has been removed. No continuity and you're good to go. A two wire shunted socket is one that has both wires plugged into the same area, close proximity, of the socket and either pin of the socket is the same. If you follow the wiring here and have a shunted sockets the minute power is applied you'll get some instant fireworks for having shorted the line and neutral together.

I have a new delta hidden wide separated faucet in a bathroom. After all of a week it completely stopped!!!! We took out the aerator using the tool which Delta supplied and some debris came out. However you make it look so simple getting back in. After three tries it still has some water squirting sideways and worse than that water is leaking under the cabinet down the little black tube that goes to the spout. My plumber thinks its connected to the aerator not sealing right. Boy its frustrating. Any tips to reinstalling so everything seats right?

I’d definitely recommend to just biting the bullet and do both doors, and better yet, even before they break. I just replaced mine since I was already removing the panels to upgrade my speakers, and sure enough, three of the plastic pieces were cracked, and another one disintegrated in my hand when I was inspecting it.

You can get small led fluorescent tubes that use 12v-30v. I replaced the ballast in an antique desk lamp with a 12v wall bug from my box of power supplies and the LED tube works great.
