Truck topper stores sell keys for about $5.Just use the number on the front of lock where key goes in.

Depending on how long yours has been on there, you might have to spray some PB Blaster/WD-40 or something like that to break the rust up between the surfaces of the handle shank and the other pieces. Mine didn't want to come apart and only after some spray and tapping it with a rubber mallet lightly to shock the pieces, did it finally come apart.

Thank you, i was looking to buy a camper and wasn't sure i could replace the lock mechanism. How do you lock the buttom tail gate. Mine doesn't have a lock.

You can't open the tailgate if the topper is closed/locked, at least that's my experience.

A lot of older trucks don't have a locking tailgate as it is a moot point since the top is open. And most permanent bed covers or shells prevent the tailgate from opening when closed.

I have the same type of T-handle locks for my camper shell. Has anyone ever found anyway of making those automatic/keyless entry? There has to be a way right?

You could have gone to a “Locksmith” shop and had a key cut by code for roughly $10-15.00, but hey, fun video.
