I am curious how to achieve the same result on the sliding mitre saw. Please advise. It is very tough to get an angle of 44.9 deg. Accurately and repeatedly.

instead of doing the angles with premade base parts id incorporate some sort of angle gauge so you can read your set angle and then have the angle adjustable within some range using an excentric cam and locking nuts to prevent them from loosening mid use

well just redoing an old project wouldve counted i guess -- i think this 3in1 machine may actually be the machine to do the external wood threads even easier...

500 dolars in my currency would be 2 times the minimmum wage. Shearching for similar tables i saw one for 500, but 500 of my currecy, wich would be 81 dolars

Thanks to this video, i love IKEA more than ever, this peoples are lose touch with reality if they think IKEA quality isn't enough for normal person use.

If you’re planning to reprint the main body, I’d suggest moving the lateral nuts to the inner side. This way, you won’t have to rely on the glue’s strength for the router’s clamping force and can depend on the plastic instead.

If you can buy an ikea table for 15$, a 2 times better table is only 30$. And the table you made is at maximum two times better. And you priced it at 500$. WTF. To resume your table has better materials that you don't see, is black instead of wood color, and 33 times more expensive.

loved the process! i dont understand how you do the math though, for example the rubio isn't factored into the cost? The stuff is super expensive.

500 for the black table? you need to learn cost control. There are plenty of wood furniture similar size under 100

Hey do you understand that IKEA furniture being less than 10% the price while still being perfectly serviceable is the whole point? I could go through several IKEA coffee tables for the cost of yours, which you admit uses materials and methods that further increase the price. Who the hell can afford 500 bucks for a tiny coffee table? Just because it cost you 4 hours of labor? You're completely missing the issue. Edit: I wrote this before I heard "conversation piece" and "an experience." Come the hell on. Get your heads out of your asses. This just sounds ridiculous. If someone wants "an experience" they could build their own coffee table.

That is a neat tool - 3D printing, light CNC, plus laser etching… this is my first time seeing all 3 in one device. Seems a great use of space for a hobbyist setup! 😊

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it already or not but maybe some sort of clamp with bearings on the underside and some bearings for sliding the router up and down just to make it less of a balancing act.

I got that Ikea table on sale and use it for my printer. I'm not paying hundreds of dollars for a table that sits in the corner of my room that holds my printer and a stack of paper lol.

I have same IKEA table, it was beat up like crazy by the kids. Drawings on it, stickers, constantly belong wet, they sit on it, step on it. And it is still not broken after 8 years. I also had a nice wooden coffee table for 20x the price. Wood got twisted, legs don't align and it sits uneven. It was also very easily damaged just from weiring with a pen on thin paper. Didn't find a person who can repair it and it eventually was burned in the firewood

We all know that ikea furniture is made out of cardboard, but its durable enough, it does not need to be made of solid wood. Coffee table is for holding coffee, not for jumping on it, cardboard is perfectly enough

I just bought the Triton TRA001 beast of a router and put it in my homemade router table... it already comes with an integral router-lift mechanism so it was a simple build and has been a great machine over the last 5 years.., 😎👍☘️🍻

Look at a Taper Jig for a table saw. On yours use a hinge or pivot on the front and The curved slides on the sides to lock the angle.

My comment has absolutely nothing to do with woodworking, but I have to say you live in a beautiful place. Seems very peaceful. This is also only the second video of yours I have watched, I really enjoyed it. You have a new sub in me. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.

If you use 2 part inserts you can achieve more angles with less plastic. For example: 30 on top + 15 on bottom = 45, 30 on top + 2x15 on bottom = 60. The top part can have the hardware and bottom parts can just have a whole + guide pins.

If I was rich I would absolutely have a woodworker make custom stuff for me, or even learn to do it myself if I had the space and money to. But I think my IKEA I've since I was about 6 still being in impeccable condition now that I'm 21 is a good indicator of what I should actually spend money on.
