Yes, it’s best to have a charger on the truck when tuning

Some guys have said they tune first before doing the install. I havnt done that but it’s another fail-safe in case you have tuning issues

I see you didn’t unplug the Egr at all, seen a lot of other videos where people show unplugging them. Ever have any issues leaving it all stock and plugged in? Also, does all ezlink tuners come with the same tunes? Hard to decipher some things watching KZbin etc. Thanks

The tune turns off the EGR so you can unplug it but it isn't necessary because it's not functioning. As for the tunes, those depend on who you get them from. There are a couple companies. You'll have access to their entire library of tunes from emissions present, emissions non-present, bigger turbo, etc all in the cloud for easy access

Yes, the stock ECU profile is saved under the "emissions present" folder so you could return it to stock ECM/TCM tunes. Very user friendly system

I’ve heard conflicting reports about tuning 2020+ and I can’t confirm since I’ve only owned 2018 & 2019. It’d be great if they have the 2020+ unlocked for at home tuning with the EZLYNK by now. Thanks for watching, hope it helped!

Absolutely. I'd talk with the installer but I've only ever heard of issues with poor re-sprays that peeled when the PPF was removed. These cars are fun, best of luck on your search!

I bought an 01 Mustang GT and the previous owner had done the worst thing ever... Deleted the cats and made it strait pipe with empty see through mufflers... I went to get the car in another city like you did... I drove 8 hours with ear plugs... I even got stopped at one point cause the cops heard me from far away as they where getting back in their patrol car after stopping somebody... First thing I did when they stopped me was pulling out my ear plugs. I asked them to speak louder cause I was slowly going death ! I got a sound warning... First thing I did to the car was magnaflow cats and a magnaflow cat back... Now the car is 10X more enjoyable ! Drone sucks ! I'm 44 so I need it to be quiet also.

I cant stress enough that you should always load your tune first before taking everything off. If the tune doesn't load or work properly then your stuck either putting it all back together or having a giant paper weight until the tuning gets sorted out. Not a bad idea to throw a charger on while tuning also, they like constant voltage.

Same, I don't need extra TQ/HP or to "roll coal" I want a clean reliable tune to extend the life of my truck without the BS. I just keeping hearing it's much harder to do on the 2020+ trucks. I have a '22

Thanks Tony, really like video. Another question, I know you answered it. I have seen other videos on the egr delete. So, after you delete and the program shuts it off. There is nothing that gets pumped up in the hoses and then sent back in the system to basically reburn the exhaust??? or is this the CCV I am thinking about? Would you get rid of that? I just don't know enough about how all this stuff works??? Do you know anything about the cp4 pump? This truck only has 56K on it and I am flying down tomorrow to hopefully buy it. The guy has driven it 7K miles in 7 years and 50 miles in the last year. He is old and that's why he is selling it. Since it hasn't been used that much, is there anything you would do to it or use in the fuel system. I have about a 500-mile trip driving it back???? What else would you get rid of on the truck? Really, really appreciate your time, Troy

Unless the CCV clogs, leave it alone. As for the EGR, that is correct. The tune disables it all. With 56k miles, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just change the oil/filter as well as fuel filters and maybe put some Lucas fuel additive in the tank for your drive home. These engines are solid. Thanks for watching!

I am thinking about a delete. Not because I want to "roll" coal, be loud, or race my 2013 f450. I am seeing the real scam and damage caused by all this bs on yourvtruck. Of course they do not want you to do a delete, your truck should last longer, more power an cheaper maintenance. From what ai have seen people greatly exaggerate 5he milage, at least on a Ford. Probably used to sell the delete kit... I jyst want honesty on the benefits not pipe dreams. In the end it is beneficial for the low maintenance costs down the road. Thanks for the video.

Even if you didn't gain 1mpg, the delete is worth it for the extended life of your engine. Glad you liked the video and hope it helped

Hey Tony great videos. Quick question. If I’m ordering a ezlynk from a seller and it states no tunes loaded will I still be able to load the tunes from the cloud?

Thanks man. As long as when you order the EZLYNK, you are also buying a license that is linked to your VIN, then yes. When you receive the EZLYNK you will be able to download any tunes from the cloud to install on your pickup. Just confirm with the seller

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I don't have links. You'll need to contact retailers to find one that sells the EZLYNK and tunes. For the pipe, those are very easy to find with a simple search but the tuner/tunes will require reaching out to a few companies.

My wife amd I drive Hotshot and have emmissions crap give us hell time to time..engine light warning etc...egr low flow, map etc.. damn soot! I well oassed 100k miles... Doing this to my farm truck asap! Got the GDP/EZ-LYNK info down... What size pipe are you installing here? 4"-5"? What brand do you prefer? Tony, thanks again for the great vidoe man!! Thanks bud! Glad the video helped. You're gonna love the truck after this, it's a whole new animal. This is the 4" pipe, no-name brand. I have done a few and as long as you make sure you have it tightened down at the flanges & don't leak, they're all the same. No. The custom transmission tune added is specifically made for the engine tune it is paired with. You will find that your transmission will actually drive noticeably better than stock

@@Arizonamountainman These trucks run hot and will touch the 230's for trans temp when towing (uphill only, flat is maybe 10* hotter than normal), so I back it down to the 0HP or 75HP tune when towing to avoid issues. I did a video of the PPE pan that I installed on our F350 dually. Worth the upgrade if you tow often! Check out that video on the channel

Unfortunately I don't. The pipes are available with a quick search, but for the tuner/tune you will need to contact a few companies to see who sells them. Canadian companies may be easier for you to source one from.

So, you buy the EZ Lynk, does it come with all of these options ready to download on the app? Or, do you need to purchase those tunes separate to the EZ Lynk unit and download them into the app? Any info helps!!

When you buy the EZ LYNK the seller will need your VIN to get you the license for your truck. That will allow you to download them from the cloud and use any of the tunes on your truck. One other thing to note, you can use the same EZLYNK for multiple trucks but each VIN# will need it's own license. Hope that helps!

You will have to do some searching online. The pipe is easier to source. You'll need to reach out via email to companies for the tuner/tunes. Not impossible tho. Very worth while upgrade

Yeah, they suggest that to make sure your battery doesn’t die while flashing the tune. I’ve never done it but if you have one, it won’t hurt.

I have a 2021 F250 After the tune, you mentioned the TCM needs to re-learn. Will my DRIVE modes still be active, meaning I can select from the stock button - Normal, ECO, Towing, etc...?

Yes everything will function exactly how it should. You will just notice very firm shifts for the first 75 miles or so.

@@Lone_star1986 he was taking an objective statement and comparing it to your subjective comment, you likely are not an engineer. so you have no clue (based off assumption) what kind of precision and skill is needed to craft an efficient, high output yet, emissions abiding engine that all the while is affordable. every DOT and EFA standards are all loopholes that take money, development costs, and testing to conform to. which is all time, skill and money. But 6.7's are junk though. 7.3 IDI my beloved
