I cant stress enough that you should always load your tune first before taking everything off. The 2007+ MY diesel emission systems are insanely stupid and do not reduce emissions significantly. Here is the other dirty little secret: Go look at the typical 2007+ MY diesel ambulance or fire dept. vehicle. Nearly all of them have the DPF deleted. Why? Because those trucks' duty cycle requires them to idle for extended periods and that will easily foul the DPF. Emergency vehicles can't afford to go into "limp mode" or shut down in the middle of an emergency, so most emergency agencies (quietly) delete the DPF and other trouble-prone emission components. If the feds start going after vehicle owners for deleting emission systems, they will find tons of local, state, and federal emergency agencies are top "offenders."

I wouldn't mess with the engine compartment at all. Sometimes they raise the hood, even in states like Louisiana where they don't do emission exhaust testing except in a few counties, just to see if anything has been changed or modified from the stock set up. They did that to me one time. Another problem might be a dealer not being able to repair a vehicle which has been modified. I would keep that in mind, especially while the vehicle is still in warranty. I would keep those very expensive parts, and protect the wiring and connectors under the vehicle. You never know what the future may be like. Crazy laws could be passed.

I just don't know enough about how all this stuff works??? Do you know anything about the cp4 pump? This truck only has 56K on it and I am flying down tomorrow to hopefully buy it. The guy has driven it 7K miles in 7 years and 50 miles in the last year. He is old and that's why he is selling it. Since it hasn't been used that much, is there anything you would do to it or use in the fuel system. I have about a 500-mile trip driving it back???? What else would you get rid of on the truck? Can you post a link to parts or model numbers of what you ordered for your Farm Truck?
@tonysprojectgarage7 ай бұрын
I don’t want to get anyone into trouble so best bet is search “powerstroke delete pipe” and you’ll see options between $200-$400 depending on the material. I’ve always used stainless steel pipes but you can save a few bucks with the others. As for tuner, you’ll search Auto Agent EZ Lynk for Powerstroke and likely have to email the company selling to speak about the support package with tunes for no emissions. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching!

I’m getting ready to delete my 2012 6.7 F-350 how do I know which tune to buy what makes one better than the other and what about the egr I didn’t see it deleted in the video
@tonysprojectgarage4 ай бұрын
A quick online search and you’ll find the reputable tuners. Most are pretty good, a couple are really good. As for the EGR, I forgot to say it in the video but the tune turns it off so you don’t have to mess with block off plates anymore
@mikegonzales1564Ай бұрын
Do you have a link for where to purchase the race pipe and tune?
@tonysprojectgarageАй бұрын
Unfortunately I don't. The pipes are available with a quick search, but for the tuner/tune you will need to contact a few companies to see who sells them. Canadian companies may be easier for you to source one from.

Great video! My 7.3 was tuned but havn't done anything to my 2015 6.7. how hard is it to put the tune back to stock? thanks, ~jw
@tonysprojectgarage7 ай бұрын
Putting the tune back to stock takes about the same amount of time as you saw for me to load the 100HP tune. The EZLynk stores the stock tune so you can switch back easily
@tomking58226 ай бұрын
Where did you find the parts
@tonysprojectgarage6 ай бұрын
I don’t want to put that out because the companies could get in trouble but you can find the pipe with a quick google search and send some diesel parts retailers an email to see who will sell the tuner. Especially Canadian shops
@Eaglerockpromotions2 ай бұрын
Who makes the kit that you installed? What company I want to purchase it?
@tonysprojectgarage2 ай бұрын
You will have to do some searching online. The pipe is easier to source. You'll need to reach out via email to companies for the tuner/tunes. Not impossible tho. Very worth while upgrade
@Grim-zyn5 ай бұрын
Can you add the link where the kit came from.
@tonysprojectgarage4 ай бұрын
I can't share where I got the parts, those companies don't want to be advertised. However, a quick online search will give you "farm exhaust" options and you could email some retailers to see if they have any tuners. Good luck with your search, it's so worth it!

No. The custom transmission tune added is specifically made for the engine tune it is paired with. You will find that your transmission will actually drive noticeably better than stock

@@tonysprojectgarage have you noticed any temp changes towing?
@tonysprojectgarageАй бұрын
@@Arizonamountainman These trucks run hot and will touch the 230's for trans temp when towing (uphill only, flat is maybe 10* hotter than normal), so I back it down to the 0HP or 75HP tune when towing to avoid issues. I did a video of the PPE pan that I installed on our F350 dually. Worth the upgrade if you tow often! Check out that video on the channel
