I have fat blunt fingers. I trying to learn to play. My problem is hitting to many strings at one time. Any thing you can suggest would be greatly appreciated.
@COMANDOLIN7 сағат бұрын
Hey bud, I guess the best general advice I could give would be to be that you’re going to have to be extra precise in your finger placement. For single notes, you’ll really need to up on the tips. Maybe just work on super, super simple melodies: Happy Birthday, Mary Had a Little Lamb etc and just work on making each note as clean as it can be. It can definitely be done - Of course, most importantly, have fun :)

Thanks bud, I appreciate you being part of COMANDOLIN! You know, the irony is that I can’t play 80% of the songs on my channel :) I do so many that if I don’t play them regularly, I’ll forget them as I learn new ones. This is one I should definitely brush up on and maybe write it out.

I don't know much about it, but I do know that copyright laws apply not only to the music itself, they apply to copyrighted performances as well. A performance, or even an arrangement, of a very old piece of music may be copyrighted.

Hey there :) I haven’t written it out yet, but when I do, it’ll be putting the tabs on the screen when I do the lesson video. If you want to print them out, you will have to go to the patreon page, but you can just print out tabs for all the songs you want and then cancel, so it’s just a one time 5$ purchase. But, again, I’ll be putting them on the screen in the lesson video :)

You're right, it's also common, and I don't believe there's ANY absolute standard that y00b00b adheres to. We hear stories like this all the time. It's either copyright issues, content, political policy, whatever, and it goes on and on. But none of it, NONE of it should ever apply to something in public domain. That's a mystery. MAYBE if some artist recorded THEIR version of a song that's in public domain, there could POSSIBLY be a form of "publishing" rights to that exact recorded piece of music, but not a copyright. That doesn't make sense unless you're distributing the actual pirated copy of some such artist's specific performance that had a publishing right attached to it. There MUST be certain people (like moderators for instance) that are "assigned" to these tasks. And the way it gets played out in real-time makes it seem as if every one of those moderators (or whatever they call them) has their own method of "interpreting" y00b00b policies. That's the the only thing that makes sense without me knowing any other method of execution [they] adhere to. there must also be some type of algorithm(s) in place that confuse these things and whether to target or flag them. the whole thing is confusing. Here's the one that REALLY GETS ME; The most irresponsible thing I see with some people that post certain known copyrighted material (that also typically has a publishing right attached to it), is when they also include a statement like this: "I do not own the rights to this! No copyright intended." yadda yadda, or something like that. What they DON'T REALIZE is that by doing what I just mentioned puts them in a serious possibility for legal problems. The point being, that IF you actually ADMIT that you DO NOT OWN the copyrights to something that you're sharing, then legally you ARE knowingly committing copyright infringement!! That's what makes it seem so st00pid?? There's like a million of those, and I always wonder why they don't suffer any repercussions from y00b00b. I don;t WANT to see them get in any trouble, but they should NOT include that false disclaimer that actually IS NOT A LEAGAL disclaimer. They need to ask a copyright lawyer about that. They'll tell them to NEVER post anything like that. In other words: If you KNOW that there may be a copyright attached to that particular content, then don't EVER post such incriminating actionable information when you're sharing something without legal and/or authorized permission. Now I have only a few files posted myself. When I look at the little automatic tags that y00b00b attaches to those clips, I see a couple "copyright" notes in one of the columns. I don't know if y00b00b is intending to review that, or what it really means by being there. BUT we actually DID pay for and obtain a licensing for duplication, performance, and/or distribution for two of those songs we did a while back. In fact when they were first released, the duplication company required us to submit a copy of that licensing in order to make the duplications. We even additionally had direct permission authorized to us from Racer-X themselves to record and distribute that "Y. R. O." song. IDK, it's always going to be a mystery... until maybe Elon Musk buys y00b00b, and straightens out THIS place too! LOL!! ~JSV

So all these little bands covering songs all over the world, are breaking copyright laws? I think KZbin tries to find any way to demonetize a video. Then they will slap an ad on the same video and make money from it. I started posting videos on Rumble. I’m not in it for the money. I haven’t had a video demonetized yet.

I find that all of the social media platforms can be inconsistent when it comes tovthe rules. My guess is that there is a technology based sort of surveilance that picks up on sonething and then dings you However, if you can get a real person to look your issue, it might be determined that you are OK. How can it be that other people are posting Greensleeves tutorials without any apparent problem. Does KZbin have something lije the equivalent of a customer service contact? I lesrned a trick from a career that involved navigating a lot of bureaucracy - If I was told that I couldn't do something because of a rule or regulation, Iwould ask whoever told ne that to cite tge regulation. Most of the time, no such regulation exists. If it can ve cited, I could figure out how to avoid violating the regulation.

You can pay for rights for pop music, it’s not cheap. But a channel as big as Beato I bet he pays for licenses. There’s multiple agencies and they’re $1000s a pop. The Irish stuff should be fine unless it was recorded by another artist and maybe your work sounds like it unknowingly? Does Irish music have a different copyright rule than here in the US? Sorry this is happening it’s unnerving for sure.
