Love this...(^____^) When you performed in Korea, I was too poor to go inside, so I just stood at the entrance and went back. But watching you on KZbin makes me so happy. Please keep playing for a long time...

Yunchan Lim y Seong Jin Cho están por bastante arriba, pero sin duda es uno de los mejores, aun que me da la sensación de que toca desconcertado, Pogorelich, pletnev y arrau siguen teniendo el top 3 del op28

The wonderful Dmitry again, it is so pleasing and capturing to listen. The best pianist of our time, I always think he must have "the hands of god" to play in such a way.

hooooooly shit that 8th Prelude actually matched Pollini
@richardcox435410 күн бұрын
Your comment made me play them side by side over and over! Fascinating to compare - Shishkin's slightly more deliberate pace perhaps brings out the anger more, Pollini the despair: both are devastating tumults of grief. How desperately sad Chopin was.....

Its so odd… Thats the same one if you look up the famous video of Hayato Sumino rhapsody in blue and the phone ringing. Same ringtone…

Rather than to think of the Op 28 as 24 separate works, I have always considered the Preludes to be one work in 24 movements, collectively representing the entire person of Chopin, his body, mind and soul. It would seem to me that every aspect of his personality is there, and you have captured it all so beautifully in this performance, Dmitry. Congratulations on a remarkably fine and nuanced performance! I think Chopin would be quite envious of your hands! They are so wonderfully expressive, as you are ever your elegant, refined self! God bless you!
