Nice review thank you! I like how you discuss your usage and how EV’s work into that. There’s a lot of misinformation out there about EV’s. I would love to get an EV9- but I’m going to wait a year or two to hopefully find a lightly used one for $40k, hopefully 🤞🏻 . I’m currently driving a plug in Pacifica Hybrid, and while we haven’t had issues with it personally, I’m definitely concerned for the longevity of the car. Plus 38 EV miles is just not enough but we love the utility and functionality of a van and the captains chairs with young boys, can’t be beat! We also want a bike rack to transport 4 bikes, but the PAC HY cannot have a tow hitch for some reason. The gas version yes but not the hybrid.

Wish I could get one, unfortunately the Kia dealer near me denies every claim on my ICE Sportage even though it's still under warranty.

I intend to buy a Venu 3, it suits me because it is a little bigger than the 3s. By the way, I'm currently on a Huawei 5 pro watch which is also perfect, but my daughter likes it and will give it to her. However, Garmin is always Garmin. Number one! 🏅🏅🏅

That balance is all about 26mm band.... I recently modified 26mm band for my fenix 5 and its night and day... the band itself makes a huge difference. 26mm provides much better hold and it allows the watch stick much higher on my wrist when I am working out.

I thought I would want the 51 but I was worried about golf, weight lifting and other racquet sports. It was getting in the way of my hand/wrist mobility.

Are you nuts? All cars have the ability to warm up like this cat does. Cars made within the last 4 years. Modern gas cars don't need to warm up.

🤔 No that’s a misperception .. all be it hardly noticeable the 47mm screen size is 33.02mm or 1.3cm & the Fenix 7x Pro solar edition is 51mm is 35.56mm or 1.4cm !

Super helpful thank you! Such a shame about the blinking; im dyslexic and was really excited about using blue ink 🙁 i dont mind the faded colours, but the blinking i feel is a deal breaker, does it blink after esch word ? What happens if you wrote a whole sentence ?

Garmin makes beautiful and smart watches, but they fall short in terms of durability. They are very fragile, scratch easily, and the paint wears off quickly. Compared to the Apple Watch, which is strong and resistant, Garmin watches seem weak and prone to damage. Given their high price, they don’t offer the robustness one would expect. It might be better to consider other watch brands that provide better value for money. Expensive and fragile-that’s the impression Garmin gives.
@ThorSkin6921 күн бұрын
The Garmin is far superior in terms of durability compared to AWU2, awu2 scratches easy against metal straps, metal surfaces, people who work with their hands I recommend instinct, tactix, Epix or Fenix. For someone who wants a watch that’s just like your iPhone, go AWU2. I am impressed with the screen on awu2 with regards to wiping down the screen it comes clean every time and looks great, sexy, but for people who want to track everything is motorbike riding etc etc go a Garmin

I've had just the opposite experience. My wife had the Series 8, wore it maybe 8 hours a day 5 days a week, didn't sleep with it on. When I upgraded to the series 9, I could see all the wear on the crystal and she babied every day. I have a fenix 6 Pro 47mm DLC Sapphire, wear it 24/7, do all the fitness stuff with it, chain saw with it on (I have an outdoor wood furnace), do yard work with it on (real work, on a 5 acre yard, with Stihl brush cutters/weed whippers, etc.). The fenix has been accidentally hit hundreds of times, banged against all kinds of things probably a 1000 times in the 3 years I've owned it, and it just barely looks like it has any wear, and zero scratches on the crystal. All this and a consistent 1 week on the battery charge, I would probably get 3 weeks if I turned all the notifications off, but due to getting hundreds of notifications a day from my iPhone ( I mention iPhone to indicate I'm not an anti-Apple person) from emails to home camera notifications, the battery doesn't last as long. The apple watch needs constant battery baby-sitting, so much so I took it back (series 6 at the time) and bought my Garmin. Looking forward to the Fenix 8 DLC 51mm purchase soon.

PERFECT comparison. Thank you! Imho the difference is not really big, when looking at the diameter. But the height is indeed really bulky! Love that and decided to go with the 51mm, since i love the tool watch style with the maximum possible battery life.

On what? My Fenix 6 Pro DLC is just starting to show wear after over 3 years of heavy use. It's been banged up, accidentally smashed in to all kinds of things. No heavy scratches, crystal NO scratches. I wear it 24/7, I only take it off to charge the battery once a week, and while I take a shower (I don't like wearing anything in the shower).

After watching this I caved and purchased the black 47mm. Wife inherited the Epix for hiking. But I’m totally happy I made the leap. I had watch 6 and ultra before the Epix but I found the Fenix 8 is everything I wanted out of those previous watches.

May have a fix??? Think it is related to "Wrist Detection" setting located in the "Security and Privacy" settings menu. Accessible only from watch. Not the wearable app. If the watch thinks you are not wearing it, it shuts off AOD to save battery. I wear long sleeve shirts and wear the watch over the sleeve, so obviously the watch doesn't detect my wrist and shuts down. But if I turn off wrist detection, it seems to work fine. If you have tattoos, or other obstructions on your wrist AOD may not work unless you turn off wrist detection. (But that may affect other things which do require wrist detection.) Who knows why the watch isn't detecting your wrist. Try the other wrist. But wearing watch over the sleeve is definitely a no no. Best
