Is there a part number for this? In Europe we get a silly little trailer hitch assembly that fastens up underneath the car - but a 2" hitch is much more useful for things like bike carriers or other accessories on the back. Heck, even a winch in a cradle :O

@@SammyGeek I spoke to the dealer today actually, and it isn't type-approved for use in Europe. Shame, I would have much preferred a hitch receiver to just a regular tow hook.

HI, I have had it installed with the 7 pins connector upon buying the car. I have a 3500lb trailer and I wonder if I need to add a brake controller or it can handle it. Thanks.

I think you may need an aftermarket brake controller. I'd check with your Kia desler on that one! Sorry!

Looks great! Love the cover. I'm looking to install the hitch as well. As I have a very steep driveway, I'm afraid the hitch will hit the ground ones I go up the steep driveway. Can you kindly the ground clearance to the bottom of the hitch?

It's a $595 accessory when added to a build on Kia's website. I wonder how much that costs afterward.

Looks clean 👍 Would like to see some tow info, maybe borrow a travel trailer and see how it responds, something close to max tow rate like around 4500lbs as there is nothing out there Cheers

Yes, I noticed that right away. But ever since the first close-up look I've never noticed it again. It really Blends in nice when you're walking around the truck.

Thanks for a great video! First one I've seen of the official Kia hitch for the EV9. Only a 4 pin connector though which I think is a bit odd. No brake controller capability on 4 pin.

Yeah for the price they charge for the little piece of plastic it should be the same as the trim it replaces

This will be the first thing to look rusty here in the road salt belt. I'd disassemble it and rubber undercoat spray it. At minimum, treatment with an oily spray often.
