I have Canon Pro-500. Can Canon pro500 use the same ink as Canon pro 1000? What's the difference between them?

Thanks for the breakdown and opinions. My very loved Pro-100 just randomly stopped printing black and cyan ink, and no matter what I do, I cannot get it working again. I'm at a point of desperation where I fear I may just have to replace it. My conflict now is - do I buy a newer model with outrageously expensive $8-min off-brand inks, or do I risk buying an outrageously price-scalped 100 with amazing $2 off-brand inks (which my printer has never experienced a single problem with. ..Until now, of course. Whether the ink, print head or printer itself is at fault is still unknown). Uhg, expensive decisions are always so hard...

I'm not actually sure that this does have an IP67 rating.. I think the smaller versions indeed do, but the large model doesn't claim to have as such. Thanks for the review!

I have two Canon Pro-100's that work fine that I can sell to you, after purchasing an Imagegraf Pro-300. No complaints so far!

Prior to buying the Pro 200 l owned the Pro9000 MKII, it gave me many years of trouble free printing. Both printers use a dye based ink,if you don't print often enough the dye inkjet printer is a better choice as it is less prone to clogging if it sits for a period of time. Pigment inks are said to last longer but if you don't print often enough the printer can develop issues. I have framed prints with dye printers that show no color fading or color shifting after many years, best to keep them from direct sunlight and you will have no issues. I have been printing much of my work for 15 years, the only time I have my photos printed is when I want one larger than 13 x 19 inches. I photographed events for over five years and during this time I was able to print photos for people that hired me to photograph events, I was able to ship a photo package that included a flash drive with the processed files and a packet of prints between three days to a week depending on the type of events I photographed. Printing and sharing my work is what got people to hire me to photograph their events, when you can show people a final product of your work it will open up opportunities for expanding your photograph possibilities.

I am actually choosing between pro-200 and pro-300 .. obviously there's more difference than you didn't talk about ... these printers also differ greatly at which media they are working on the best ... dye-ink printers (pro-200) work better on glossy/lustre paper (according to many it even clearly outperforms pro-300) whilst pigment-based printers excel while using mat papers and also b&w photography .. as solely a landscape photographer (who shoots in color 99% of time) I dare to say pro-300 is a bit better choice because matt/baryta paper is I believe a more suited for high-detail-density photographs that should/shall be viewed and examined more closely than typically object-oriented genres like portraits or other genres ..

What makes it so much better than others is the picture quality. They look outstanding. Also, it has a long battery life that gives you plenty of time to print everything you need. I already bought a Canon Pro-300 for my art business. I make matted prints of my original paintings. The display is showing error 5B00, and I cannot reset it. I don't seem to have the proper utility software/driver, although I'm not clear where to look (I did get into certain "maintenance" tabs and such, but didn't see any "reset" options of any sort. And I'm unable to hard reset, using the stop/cancel tap 5/7 times processes that I've found online for other models). It seems to stay in the "error mode", even if trying to "clean nozzles" and other similar regular maintenance functions as well. I tired that to see if it would activate the printer that way. So, here I am...more searching for the solution. I hope that you can assist, so that I can get back to printing. I love your videos -- thanks for being here to help people.

The pro 100 is going going for more then the pro 200

Canon 50mm F1.4 L has more chroma then that , what you are showing is lateral chromatic aberration , for this lens has almost none chromatic aberration in plane of focus . There are comparisons online , people can see . And there are pictures in the description , they are fantastic , you can not find better for this money . Impossible . if you want sharper you will have to get Sigma Art that is 2 or 3 times the money . Or get used Canon F1.4L but that one is not sharper , and it has even more chromatic aberrations .

Well done. Helped me with my search for a good case by crossing this one off the list :D The issue with water getting in might be due to a poor seal. I would suggest removing it and giving it a proper inspection or even slightly lubricating it with something like SuperLube (silicone lube used for electronics and such, to help with a proper seal and expand the life of the rubber seal).

No chance of getting inks here for PRO-300. I wonder why Canon sells them without making sure that inks and papers are available everywhere.

pro 300 is for archival matt art papers and mybe luster..not glossy papers..and prints last longer!

I like my pro 100 that I've been using for over 9 years without repairs. Great printer, very dependable. I leave it on all the time. Sometimes after a power outage I have forgotten to turn it back on, if I run a cleaning cycle it's good as new it seems. Apple and Canon don't play nice sometimes so it has required some monkeying around getting them to talk again, but slug your way through it and it will work again. I think I'd try to find a 1000 if I was getting another one. Pigment inks are a pain to work with from my experience so maybe I would just get the 200. I'll use the 100 until I can't any more however.

but maybe you can make photoshop smaller to fit middle part of screen så you will have easy access to tools? ...I think I will prefer 16:9 anyway. If you split working area on superwide screen I think it will be difficult maximize each program so they fit screen area. (?)

I bought the pro 300 and it is a very good printer I am happy with it. The ink usage is les than expected

what about epson l8188...the et8550 is not available in china. I hate the games these companies play.
