But to specify enclosure, English may use 'within' (unutra). Serbian would use 'u' for a location that encloses the subject. Npr., Mora raditi u čeličnom kavezu (He works in a steel cage). This distinction is made in all the Slavic languages: position on top of the location (na) versus position within the location (u). English formerly distinguished between 'upon' meaning 'on top of' and 'on' meaning 'attached to something vertical, as a wall. German retains this distinction using 'auf' and 'an', npr., 'auf dem Tisch' versus 'an der Wand' (here, Slavic uses 'na' for both).

hi, my baba and djeda were serbian. baba used to call me stuff like Im not sure how to spell it in english so i will say it phonetically, she would call me micho (me-sho) and prasa (prah-zah) and also (walalo/valalo) do you know what any of those names mean? i assume they were pet names. baba and djeda died a long time ago sadly, and i have noone else to ask!
