Love this channel and the move into such content, so this comes from a good place: please, please take the background music out.

This turned out brilliantly! Nigel is a fantastic guide. So much information. I've visited the War Rooms several times and I still learnt new things from this (admittedly I didn't have Nigel to show me around 🙂. Wonderful work, Kirby! I only wish it was longer!

Outstanding Kirby! I recall touring the Churchill war rooms years ago when working in London, it made a tremendous impression on me. You really get a sense of the immense pressure which was on Churchill at the time. The last episode was my favorite but this one beats it for me. Well done.

This was really insightful. I now want to visit the Churchill War Rooms. I know Britain is going through tough times, but this should be part of every child's education.

Kirby, can we get a video of Dege and Skinner or Henry Poole making you a Romper / Siren Suit?

I didn't notice the camera shaking until someone below mentioned it. Pity. I do really like the music selection and Nigel obviously has a huge love of Churchill and the era.

I enjoy all your videos Kirby, but audio on this one is badly mixed unfortunately. The background music is far too loud, distracting and intrusive, and makes it difficult to hear the conversation. Any chance of a re-upload with the music removed?

For somebody who is American, I do sometimes wonder who were born British I have never seen an American in a long time you take such interest in British history from this time period

Kirby, thank you for your wonderful videos. I was born in England and grew up there and I have learned so much about Britain from you! I have especially enjoyed your Churchill series. Loved the war rooms video but oh dear that constant odd background music was so annoying. Sorry to finish on a negative note because I enjoy your work so much. Pete Round Rock, TX

Kirby would know through his brother who is a naval aviator, that US aircraft carriers have even more confined, busy, overcrowded, noisy, hot, stale air, planning & mapping rooms, battle stations and bridges where strategy is conducted

I've walked past that museum many times and never gone in for a look. Down the street at JJ Fox Cigars there's a leather chair on the second floor that was Sir Churchill's smoking chair. If you're on St James check it out and enjoy a cigar sitting on it

The background music is little too loud relative to volume of speakers. also abit repetitive. it makes the viewer abit impatient almost as if the video isnt proceeding quick enough..( specially the background music during the basement conversation).

I’m hopeful since we now have two Americans trying to save the Brits from destroying their own country; the nation which we all used to admire so.

My wife and I visited the War Rooms years ago on our first trip to London. Historic, Incredible, authentic. An experience I'll never forget. Tip: Before we left for London, I signed my wife and I up as members for a year. Included in the membership was free priority entry into the War Museum along with a 10% discount in the gift shop. The priority entry came in very handy as it was very hot (imagine that, hot in London!) the day we arrived at the War Rooms. There was a long line of people waiting to get in as the WR was at full capacity, so someone had to leave for the next person to be admitted. We just walked up to the security guard, showed him our cards and were ushered inside immediately.
