When you say the gameplay is a "total failure", I instantly start to pull back. Elements of the gameplay may be sub-par or broken, but calling it a total failure is hyperbole, and I start to distrust further critique. Then you said "digging up Roger Ebert", and that's enough for me to stop the video. I know it's been 8 years since you left this review, but hopefully you've moved past this amateur language.

I have played this game recently. I discovered the environmental puzzle very early and tried to find as much EPs as I can, before getting the first ending. And after that I did not touch it again. I know that I am not a very patient person after the games that I played. Therefore, I decided to stop. I experienced the amusement of all the other puzzles by watching speedruning video of the witness. And after your video, I am glad that I did it. I do enjoy the game, and honestly, the game is genious. I'm just so glad that my impatience helped me big time, this time. Thank you ser for the video!

25:10 IT'S NOT THAT THE CAT IS BOTH ALIVE AND DEAD. IT'S THE OPPOSITE. The thought experiment was to show that quantum effects cannot be ruth golberged to object of non quantum size because then it would make no sense. Hence, a cat which is both alive and death is purely nonsensical. So even if the isotope machine is both emiting radition and not emitting raditiation, at some point, the scale of the quantum system would be to big, and would collapse to a specific option. ------ My notes/extra: Human observation have nothing special. Human observation is just one type of ruth golberg upscaling. The cat is another observation. Aka, the cat is doing an observation. Hence, an observer is just a ruth golberg machine of any kind. When you observe with your eyes the result of a quantum result logged through a computer/electronics/machine then both the original quantum object, the computer and the human's eye and brain and then human's body and then every action the human would make... are linked into it. At some point, it became too big. If any macroscopic object (~ a size you could see with your eyes ) would be in that box and be affected enough, it too would collapse the wave function. Said object would "observe" itself and its surrounding. But then theres the question, how does it collapse to one scenario, and when, and That is a complicated question. Maybe through a shit ton of math you could "understand it" in the concept of the copenhagen interpretation. But I didn't take master level course on QM so idk. One way to wrap your head arround it is: The hypothesis of the multiverse. Where the entire universe is in one big wave function, and each multiverse is in a possible option of it. Hence you just "discover" which universe you are in when you "observe" and you get stuck in that universe and its children. You can't go back. It's not really about multiverse, but more of an easier way to wrap your mind arround it. Other branches of physics also have a case where thinking of multiverse makes the phenomenon easier to wrap your mind arround it. Hence, even without evidence, it became popular. It's not a theory btw. Theories are proven. Theories are above Laws. Theories are a collection of Laws and many other things, which all work together perfectly.

For 40 dollars the dlc should have definitely not been unfinished and if this was full price sequel that wouldn't guarantee it would be finished either.

I kind of liked how technically everything you did didn’t make a difference and how it’s still a really compelling story for all the characters. I think having a solution and exploring real choices would make the game more traditional. It’s really hard to pull of the impact this game did without focusing on action and decisions. Just pondering and empathizing. (Though totally agree with you about the gameplay!! Finally someone said it!!)

When I first started playing Elden Ring, I kept drawing comparisons to Skyrim and thinking how it made this style of open world game actually interesting to me. Even as I found myself frustrated with the same issues you've expressed in both critiques. I hope the fix to the Elden Beast boss fight is the start of FromSoftware diverging from Bethesda's "let the fans fix it" mentality.
@lingricen80774 күн бұрын
Elden ring sucks because of terrible button layout and atrocious dodge delay. LotF 2023 has an infinitely better button scheme, FS has absolutely zero excuse for what is clearly CONSISTENTLY lazy design choices. They are NOT ‘intentionally being vague’ they are just lazy.

Really? That's their laziest game? So that means it's one of the biggest feats in gaming industry 😮, maybe be afraid if they use 100% efforts and blows every game out of the water including GTA6 and elder scroll 6

But a youtuber made a video about AI LLM trained on celebrity and he gaslight Joseph AI that the witcher never existed. I still laugh at this whenever I think of JA.

11:25 what's wrong with you? 😂 The bird goes: mid, mid, high, mid, looow. There is one large, three mid sized and one small point on the board. SERIOUSLY?! it's two much to ask to see that, if you pick the large pne as high, there is no solution and picking the small one as high is what you entered! Oh... my... god!

9:47 if you don't understand that you start ON a branch and the only way roughly across branches to the exit is that one, you're challenged. That's it. Take a break, try again or give up. This game is not for everyone and that's fine. It's a challenge and i loved it. Nothing you can't solve by taking a break and taking a fresh look. Just like life.

No way friede p2 is a pinnacle in anything ever Also personally love the long combo design especially prevalent in the dlc. Just executing the dodge mechanic feels great. My own critique instead is that any long form combo/aow from the player is practically always worse than dodge-hit on repeat. i have been proven this isnt objecticely correct by better players but its not something worthwhile nor fun for me to learn The last part could be applied to each point u make about "unavoidable" attacks. Your sad bitter conclusion deserves a similar conclusion in response: skill issue

It’s funny how things age. Comments from 7 years ago saying how the tomb raider game at the time sucked and the reviewer was brave for saying it. I didn’t play uncharted when it came out. I played 1 years ago but way after original release and the thought it was OK. I’ve jumped into 4 on PS+. I think it’s aged really badly - the combat is poor, there are way to many climbing sections, which (this isn’t the games fault at the time of release) are now chronically overdone, and the sliding “puzzles” involve you breaking the laws of gravity when it suits the game to jump across while sliding. I’m in Scotland and really struggling to get through this, even dropping the difficulty to light. (Struggling as in, finding the motivation to continue playing it) Whereas I played the tomb raider new trilogy a little while ago, and found them really fun to play, even if the story is questionable in the 2nd and 3rd.

i've come back to this video multiple times - the first time I watched it was right after playing the game myself back in 2020. It was free briefly during that first lockdown, and once I finished the final challenge area I put the game down for good. I didn't enjoy it and only got that far for the sake of getting all the achievements. I didn't want to go through the torment of completing as many puzzles or finding as many secrets as possible, as cool as the secret puzzles can be or as fun as the regular puzzles are when they utilise the environment in a good way. It just wasn't for me, and that's okay. I appreciated this video because it echoed a lot of my sentiments about the game, and went further than I did and so gave me a sense of closure. Beyond that, it's a great video that is well-structured. I keep coming back because of that, and to remind myself of those very weird two days I spent playing this game that feel more like a fever dream than anything else. It's funny. I used a glitch to give myself infinite time in the final room of the challenge area. I opened up MSPaint as I looked over the pillar so I could map it out in a crappy little trackpad drawing. I still have that file saved somewhere. Random aside, but given the mention of using pen and paper and whatnot, it's just another shared experience.

my understanding of that Earl Stirling quest was he had already gone under facial reconstruction surgery thus no one recognizing him, making people assume he went messing. And the whole reason Doctor Crocker kills him is because Earl wanted to undo the surgery, offending the Doctor. I don't know. maybe it was that bad that I tried to rationalize it that way.

the left nostril is the important one, and your just bad at the game if you didn't notice that the six string combo is attached to the left nostril but the eight string is tied to the right. Git Gud Joseph.
